  1. Enablers, you have found your next target...
  2. Surprisingly, the shave before this pic started finally opening up the Omega. Apparently the key is beating it into submission (or patience, but that sounds less fun).

    Keith:
    1. Have you really convinced yourself of this?
    2. In terms of culling soaps, how do you define “something approaching normal”?

No worries. Feel free to “boldly go where no 30DCer has gone before”.

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: vintage Gillette Platinum Plus
    Razor: Personna injector
Brush: Satin Tip 'The Purest' synthetic
Soap: Hendrix and Classics Company Barbershop
Post: Witch hazel, RazoRock Blue Barbershop aftershave

Nice shave this morning. The Hendrix sample probably has a couple of uses left. It's been an enjoyable soap. Terrific quality and performance all around. I tried a vintage Gillette blade with the Personna razor today. Started off a bit rough but smoothed out after a few strokes. Easy and effective shave overall. Can't ask for much else in the groggy morning.

    Have a great day!

    Lather: Palmolive Classic SC
    Aftershave: PAA Santalum Fumus

I was running very late this morning, so it was a quick shave. Two passes, and near DFS. It was a decent shave given the time I took. It is my last day of work for the week, so hopefully it goes quickly. I hope everyone has a great day!

I hope the day goes quickly for you, although I am jealous.

Perry @PLAla, I never knew Gillette had made injector blades! Any idea how old they are?

  16. I'm not sure how old they are, but they're likely vintage. @EzraCobb send them to me in part of a trade. He has a lot of vintage injector blades. That's where I got those Personna Ultra Chrome blades that are so good.

  17. Thank you both! I am heading on a tuna fishing trip for the weekend, which will be my first one. I am pretty excited, so I suspect this will be a slow day.

Good shave this morning. Took the time for a full 3 passes and was rewarded with a very smooth shave. Great scent, great lather and one tiny weeper that gave up before the alcohol hit it. I’ll leave this razor for a few days to try out another of the awesome loaners John sent me to try. This brush is breaking in well and will make a fine one to leave out at the lake next spring.
    Have a great day all!
