  5. Sadly Clint, this soap is not triple milled and is on the softer side of artisan soaps.

  7. Looking good Charlie. I too really like the front doors. The arched top looks nice and the porch should help protect the doors.

  8. Not this year, but maybe next.

  9. Thanks Andrew. I am slowly moving towards the harder or triple milled soaps. I want to keep a few of the softer artisans around but not as many. My goal next year is to get down to around a 15 soap rotation that makes me happy.
  10. Gentlemen, thanks for the kind words. I appreciate it.

  11. What I like about your new home is that it's close to what appears to be a wooded area.

  12. Race-callers are going to have to do their best to avoid laughing if Vintage Brut is a serious challenger in races.
  13. Thanks Paul. We have some woods right behind our house on the adjacent property. Our back yard is about 10' deep! :)

Razor - Gillette New SC Deluxe
    Blade - rapira-platinum-lux.jpg (1)
    Soap - Stirling Black Ice
    Brush - Jayaruh #46
    Post - Alum

New razor up to bat. The Gillette New SC Deluxe. Yep, Matthew the haunted razor that @Drygulch dared me to try out last year. The razor seems perfectly content in my collection and after some clean up work earlier this month I like what I'm seeing. Still debating on a replate for it. I know it could use it but I kind of like the patina it has at the moment. As an SC, and with the Deluxe baseplate on it, it shaves differently than the LC. Not an entirely different experience but it is its own razor.

Stirling Black Ice for the black licorice scent (yum) and the icy menthol finish. The JR46 worked up a fine face lather and I had enough for three passes and more to spare. Alum was quiet and it was a very fine shave to end a very busy day.

The weekend is here! Hope you have some fun!

  15. Well, everyone, I survived Homecoming week. Crazy activities all week and then today was officially wild. We did a parade through the school hallways before a long pep rally this afternoon. Then Homecoming Court presentation before the game followed by a regular game after all of that. We are beat.

BUT, the football won the game, and that was their first win of the season. They've had a tough season so far and we were all glad they got a win tonight.

No activities tomorrow, so looking forward to college football and adult beverages. Cheers! :eatdrink047:

  20. Oh yes. He's still the featured star for that one. I just decided to let him out to play a few shaves early.
