  1. The Vector is a sexy little razor. It's on my radar too.

  2. We'd get along quite well! I do not like sugary BBQ sauces or rubs whatsoever. We use an old family recipe for sauce made with apple cider vinegar. It's exceptional. I much, much prefer vinegar sauces instead of the sweet and sugary junk that is sold in the grocery stores and in many BBQ joints around here. My rub is a wet rub of cider vinegar, salt, pepper, dry mustard, and Worchestshire and that goes well really well with our vinegar-based sauce.

  3. I'd have to say, I wonder if @PLAla's band "blew the roof off the school" as they marched through the hallways!!
  4. That sounds good, Perry! I'll have to give that a try.

  7. Thank you, Perry! I do have a few of these scents. This one is a nice woodsy scent, but absynth adds something to it.

  12. I've been off the OC focus for the last two days, mostly because a couple of razors caught my attention and I decided to pull them out.

Yesterday, it was the Simplex 7 vending machine razor with an Astra SP. Today, I was inspired by the discussion in another thread and used my speckled Red Tip along with a Nacet blade. (This, as you may recall, is the razor which had pink deposits from the severe dezincification of the nickel plating.) The brush in both cases was the Razorock Plissoft 22 and the soap was Williams.

The Simplex needs a delicate touch and cap riding while the Red Tip was pretty much all I could ask for in simplicity. Both shaves were excellent with no issues. I am wondering, though, if I need to put the Williams away for a while as I seem to be getting some areas of dry skin on my cheeks (possibly seasonally related).

  16. A little late to the party tonight...

31 lbs is very significant, Charlie! Congrats and I know it is just a matter of time until you hit your goal weight.
The new brush is a stunner, Clint!
    MonoBilt? You, sir, have arrived.
What a pic, Jim. I can’t keep up with your PAA sets, is that one new?
I don’t know if you’ve ever tried First Canadian Maximo Gomez, Joseph, but it is an excellent tobacco scent as well.
The NEW LC is a personal favourite. I think I just decided on a travel razor for a few days. I haven’t tried it with a heavier handle, though.
Just used a Red Tip for the first time this week, John. I echo your positive comments on it.

    Exit Mr Fu ...
  17. Thank you, Jason! It isn't new, I've had it for a while, in fact I don't think it is even available anymore.
  18. Thanks Jason. I appreciate the encouragement!
  19. Red Tip and NEW LC...two of my favorite vintage razors! :happy088:
  20. Thanks, Jason. The Monobilt is a great little razor.
