Playing around with razor scales today... specifically “implanting” different materials when a section of scale is busted at the pivot.

This razor was my first shot a few months back... fun process

I'm going with this October/Fall set with the sample Atomic Pumpkin again just like last Wednesday. Need some Bay Rum in my life this weekend.

***EDIT - Another great shave. I think the OneBlade may be the best shaver in my small razor collection. It's the most bullet-proof. It self-adjusts so it's 'nearly' impossible to take a bad angle. It goes over my most tricky spot on my Adam's apple perfectly while with other razors I need to consciously 'ease up' to avoid getting nicked due to the slightly sharp elevation change. Shaving with this razor is so easy that it's almost boring. Almost. It's a great looking razor. The only weakness with this super-expensive razor is that there is no knurling on the handle. It's just bare steel. But it's still surprisingly grip-ey anyway. But I image this handle could be made slippery with the right type of soap, so I have to say that is the razor's only criticism. Everything else about the way it shaves is perfect. Like a self-guided military weapon against facial hair.

 

Yeah, I finally shaved with Martin de Candre today and know why it's 'a thing'. The soap is really damn good soap. Loved the shave.

 

I understand. I consistently get great shaves with MdC.

Soap: Stirling Green
Post: Witch hazel, Country Club for Men Modern Fougere aftershave

Used a straight razor for my cheeks and a little bit of my neck and then finished off the rest with the Micromatic. Pretty good shave in the end. Enjoy your weekend!
