Thank you Doug. The brush came complete from Paladin. The knot is just fantastic with a great combination of backbone and soft tips. It is really a joy to use face lathering.

Is the knot 2 Band flat top?

 

It is more of a fan shape. He doesn't classify his knots the same as most people. In each release he picks what knot he is using and makes the brushes all ahead of time. Then he post each individual brush for sale.

The Blackbird is an outstanding razor. I beleive the Delta Echo finish made the Blackbird a little more aggressive, which is fine by me. I think this may be the first Winter photo with snow this year.
Anyway it was a great 2 passes with a touch up.

 

I wish you would stop posting that beautiful Paladin brush. It's going to start me on a quest. Which is usually expensive.

Today's OC shave is brought to you by J.A. Henckels. This very cool razor was introduced to me by @twhite. I knew I needed to get my own. Thanks, Tom.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #217 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the J.A. Henckels Safety Razor with a J.A. Henckels Wedge blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
