Never. But it is much better than the two higher quotes. I am in serious need of downsizing now that the girls are away at school.
Your lieutenant checked in with mine, after dinner they went out for 2 cha as we call it here. Likely to a Karakoe or as it is called in Korea a norabang. I’m on my way to work to try and keep the alternate universe in check and they have not shown up yet. I’m sure once they wake up and have a wifi singal they will check in...... or maybe not. Get well quickly my friend.
In a normal environment, I'd recommend at least waiting for the Double Dog Dare. Unfortunately, the troublemakers here have no appreciation for proper etiquette and would go straight to the Triple Dog Dare. At that point, you'd be honor-bound by the Cartel to follow through. Bottom line, you're between a rock and hard place, Comrade.
Hump Day Shave This Koraat 14 2.0 double bellied hollow is still holding it's original edge very nicely. Everything felt right from the get go and an epic shave was delivered. Wrap Up: Most of this year my focus has been finishing off soaps and reducing the inventory. I select a soap based on how close to the end it is and I have been able to finish off some soaps that have been in my den for a long time. I have learned from the exercise that I have years and years of soaps in my den. I am ready for the shave apocalypse. Irritation A+ Closeness A+ Smoothness A+ Sharpness A+ Razor: Koraat 14 2.0 Strop: T Miller Brush: Etsy silver tip Pre: Nivea Soap: AoS AS: Speick AS, L’Occitane ASB Scent: Dior Patchouli Imperial
Story of my life. What really sucks is I wrote the Cartel rule book. Didn't foresee some of the consequences on that one.
I suppose it's no co-in-SI-dence that I'll be shaving with GHOST TOWN Barber(Chiseled Face) tomorrow. boo.
This is not your typical 1970's head shop scent. It is the nicest Patchouli I have come across by a wide margin. I do recommend giving to try if you have a chance.
Professionals are predictable. It's those pesky amateurs you have to watch out for. Or retired folks.
OCtober OC & BoS Jeeves Blood on Steel SS The King badger brush Fatip Piccolo 3pc DE Jeeves Blood on Steel AS Closing out my Rule on the big badger brush and Technique training face lathering experiment. Being an every other day Shaver I'm skip last day of the month. Great lather from the 30DC LE soap loaded on a damp brush. No scritch from the broken in knot, just face lathering goodness. My thoughts about face lathering? Got to load well, dip the tips to slowly add hydration, and enjoy the process. Might have gotta another couple shave from the Kai blade since this one was smooth, efficient, drama free. Held in a Fatip it's a good blade assuming you respect the tool. Riding the cap and skin stretching are a must unless you desire blood on steel. Three passes and plenty of lather so I did the extra clean up for a very fine finish. Not great sting from the BoS AS, but wonderful scent as intended. About this time folks start projecting their plans for next month. I kind of like that "No Promises" idea. I might just free style November. Good Shaves Y'all!
OCtober Oleo and Odd Balls!! October 30 Razor - Gillette NEW LC (Delta Echo) Blade - (3) Soap - Stirling Bay Rum Brush - Jayaruh #54 Post - Alum Next to last shave for the month. Staying with the NEW LC and Voskhod, went to the Stirling Bay Rum and stayed with a Jayaruh brush, just #54 this shave. Awesome setup for an awesome 3 pass shave. My wife loves the traditional Bay Rum scents and watched me shave tonight so she could soak up the aroma. BBS finish with quiet alum and that's the way to almost wrap up a month. Tomorrow night I'll bring OCtober to a close in my den with Matthew the haunted NEW SC Deluxe in a late night candlelight shave. It is Samhain after all - Halloween to most. Gotta let the spirits have their fun. Even those attached to classic razors! Have a great Wednesday and I'll have NOVember up in a bit for you early birds and over achievers!
SOTD October 31, 2018 Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap Blade: Personna Razor: Schick B1 Brush: Zenith B02 boar Soap: Williams Mug Soap Post: Witch hazel, RazoRock Blue Barbershop aftershave Pretty good shave this morning. I've just come to grips with the fact that Williams is inexpensive soap. It gets the job done but isn't going to provide a luxurious experience like many other soaps I own. So today will end the mini-focus with it. Not sure what I'll be doing tomorrow and the month of November, but I'll figure it out. This shave was fine. Nice feel and efficiency from the B1 repeater and a chilly finish from the Blue Barbershop splash. That stuff has a ton of menthol packed in, and I like that. Enjoy your day!
October 31, 2018 Wolfman SS OC with Triad Ti Feather Zenith B27 Oleo El Cabarello Captain’s Choice Bay Rum Great shave to end the month. Another drama free, automatic near perfect shave. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday and enjoys Halloween. OCtober Recap I really enjoy using OC razors so this month is always one I enjoy. During the month I have used my three OC DE razors. I tried once again but I honestly prefer modern razors to vintage. During the month, I did rotate in 3 new brushes. A vintage Ever Ready C40 with a new synthetic knot, the Zenith Boar, and the Paladin Beehive. I am happy to say that all 3 will be staying in the den. As usual the best part of the month is interacting with members of the 30DC. The friendship and fellowship exhibited here is truly special. I look forward to participating next month.
