I'm pretty sure I gave the Blue Diamond a trial. I'll check my stash and see if I have one or not. I usually buy them in pairs to give them the "official trial" so if I have only one I did, if I have none then I didn't and I'll let you know. Thanks!

Epsilon White Horse (26mm, Frigate class)
    Crown King Old Time Lime
    Skin Bracer Dry Lime AS

Another Blackbird showdown this morning, this time with the Rex Ambassador. I started with the BB on the left side and was greeted with the now familiar feel of it efficiently slicing the whiskers at skin level. I started with the Rex at 4 but bumped it up to 5 to match the blade feel of the Blackbird. After two passes it seemed like the shave with the Rex was a little closer. After three passes both sides were equally BBS smooth. I finished off with a splash of vintage Skin Bracer Dry Lime for a menthol, lime, barbershop type finish. Have a great day my friends!

Like my friend @Linuxguile, I am an unrepentant multi-quoter...:):

Love that handle every time you show it off, Clint!
Great pic and report, Perry...you've got me thinking about the Vision! There is no good reason for me to be looking at soaps, but whatever.
Have a great day with the kids, Charlie! Looks like a fine start to a great day.
Another great pic, Jim! Do you 'j hook' as daily technique? Face and neck?
A great pic of a great combo, Jim! Love that Ever-Ready.
I picked up the L'Orange Noir SS for the lousy reason that it was on sale really cheap. It took me a bit to start to really like it, but now it is a scent that I would list as a favourite. I agree, Bruce, it doesn't have a scent profile that will have you flocking to it, but it just works.
Awesome scales on that razor, Brian! Funny how things come and go on here. A couple of years ago, I saw Route 66 soaps quite often. Now, not so much. I don't think they ever had a Canadian distributor either, fwiw.

    MW Sandalwood Rose~~Rooney Style 3 Medium~~J2 Gillette Tech~~Personna 74~~Aramis EdC
Missed yesterday's shave so I am back today, further using up the two post-shave products and the
    Mystic Water soap.
Loading the 3-Band Rooney was a challenge. The knot is wider than the bowl opening.

Lots of back and forth motions---trying not to smash the knot into the soap.
I successfully filled the knot with soap and went to the face.
The MW goes on gooey, but soon morphs into a beautiful, wet, slick lather.
The Gillette Tech was loaded with the same Personna 74 blade that I have been using for about two weeks.
    No issues, nice and smooth.

Thayer's and DRH closed out the uneventful, albeit ever-enjoyable shave.
Didn't chase the baby on my lower neck, but everywhere else is BBS.
My father used Aramis. He left this world at 58, when I was 29. That was 32 years ago.
So, today I am wearing Aramis too.

I should clarify....I haven't yet bought anything from Neumann, but it's a goal either next year or year after.

A very unique combo, Andrew. I'm sure that vintage AS was a good match for the soap. That horse looks like a nice, dense knot as well.

Thank you. It’s funny that you mention the Route 66 this morning. I was thinking about it this morning. NOvember is forcing me to dig everything out for a month of no repeats and I grabbed a Route 66. There is a reason that this is one of my favorite brands of soap. I whipped up an easy and slick lather this morning for a great shave. I won’t let the Route 66 filter down to the bottom of the pile again.

Thank you, Jason. The soap is straight up lime, but the splash is pretty much Skin Bracer with a lime opening. The Epsilon has a ton of backbone, with a little bit of scritch and scrub. I rather like it.

Your closing two sentences were the clearest example of one contradicting the other that I have ever seen in 46 years of shaving. Thanks for making fun of Bruce's imaginations, though.
