November 8th Razor: Blackland Vector Blade: Feather Professional (1) Brush: Envy White Eight Ball Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated Soap: PAA Sandalwood Thayers Rose witch hazel AS: Proraso Lozion Good morning! First shave with the Vector. Smooth shave! Moderate blade feel. I varied the angle and I found a shallow angle felt just a bit smoother to me. The shave was going so well I did a quick ATG touch up in the hollows of my neck, something I have been skipping because it usually leads to trouble. No problem. Zero feedback from the alum. My chin is as smooth as I've ever gotten from any of my razors but I'm noticing my cheeks aren't quite as smooth as usual. I chalk this up to inexperience with the razor. I'm looking forward to getting to know this razor. Have a great day! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

November 9th Razor: Blackland Vector Blade: Feather Professional (2) Brush: PAA Switchback/TGN boar Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated Soap: Stirling Port AU Prince Stirling Bergamot Lavender witch hazel AS: Stirling Port AU Prince Good morning! Plenty of time for this morning's shave so I went with a traditional three pass shave. BBS result and silent alum. Wonderfully smooth razor. I'm still experimenting with the angle. For me, not quite riding the cap but close. Only my second shave with this razor, but wow! Form and function. My wife was asking what I thought of my new razor, I told her it's the sports car of my collection. Early impressions of this beautiful razor. Happy Friday! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
SOTD NOvember 9th Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap Blackland Dart Muhle R41 Rapira Platinum Lux(4) Ever-Ready 200T (22mm, Corvette Class) Mickey Lee Soapworks "Pantie Dropper" Country Club Sweet Water AS Round two of the showdown between the Blackland Dart and the Muhle R41. I gave the R41 a little bit of a steeper angle and it was able to match the Dart in efficiency today. Blade feel was very similar. I think once you get to a certain point with positive blade exposure all you feel is the naked unguarded edge of the blade on your skin. This is a great reminder to keep the pressure off and just let the sharpness of the blade do the work. When you are truly able to shave with no pressure both razors feel less harsh. Three passes was overkill but I did them anyway because I was enjoying the scent and slickness of MLSW Pantie Dropper so much.
November 10th Razor: Blackland Vector Blade: Feather Professional (3) Brush: PAA Switchback/TGN boar Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated Soap: Stirling Port AU Prince Stirling Bergamot Lavender witch hazel AS: Stirling Port AU Prince Good morning! Another traditional three pass shave to start the day. BBS with silent alum. The Blackland Vector is a smooth, easy razor with moderate blade feel. Not too heavy, not too light. I was concerned that the length of the blade would be awkward, not the case at all. With the narrow head and a balance that feels natural to me the razor feels nimble. If someone is looking for an aggressive feeling razor, this isn't it. These are my impressions after three shaves. Have a great weekend! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

SOTN NOvember 11th Blackland Dart Ikon Tech Rapira Platinum Lux(5) Yaqi Ruby Red (24mm, Frigate Class) Stirling Pumpkin Spice Stirling Glacial Unscented PSB This was the first comparison between the Ikon Tech and the Blackland Dart. First of all, with a blade loaded in the tech you can see a rather large blade gap and visually you can see that the edge of the blade extends well past the "safety bar", a very menacing looking razor. I started with the Tech in the left side of my face. Even though I was trying to use a very shallow angle I could still feel the edge of blade very clearly and also the corners of the blade. On top of that there was a sensation that the blade was gripping the whiskers before cutting them and that the razor was shipping over my face, not a very comfortable shave from the Ikon. The Dart side was much more comfortable, controlled aggression. I only did two passes because the shave was so uncomfortable with the tech. Next shave I will switch out the blades and see if that makes any difference with the Tech. I do feel that the shave was closer with the Dart, but that may be because I'm more familiar with it. SOTD NOvember 14th Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap Blackland Dart Ikon Tech Derby Premium Stirling Boar (24mm, Frigate Class) Cella of Hagen Street Baxter of California Shave Tonic and ASB Round two of the showdown between the Ikon Tech and the Blackland Dart. New blades in both razors, and a slick creamy lather from the Cella, Jeeves, VdH frankensoap. Today I started with the Dart on the left and the Ikon Tech on the right. Nothing new from The Dart, lots of blade feel but in a controlled manner. I really focused on maintaining the shallowest of angles with the Ikon Tech, which took away most of the harshness, but there was still a couple of times where I let the angle vary a little and could definitely feel the difference. The Ikon Tech is definitely more aggressive (blade feel) then the Dart but I can’t say that is it more efficient. I may be neutering the Tech slightly by using the shallowest angle possible but to shave with it otherwise is rather uncomfortable.
