    Shaves of the Week

    Sunday.
    Prep: Hot towel
    Pre shave: Prep
    Razor: ‘The Rock’ (Rockwell 6S – #3)
    Blade: Gillette Bleue Extra
Brush: The 'Americana' (Shavemac 24/48 D01 2 Band)
    Soap: Declaration Grooming 'Santal Auster'
Post: Cold water rinse / Witch Hazel / Chatillon Lux: Santal Auster Post-Shave Salve
    Fragrance: Montale Red Vetyver

EVERYTHING about that shave, can be summed up in one word... SUBLIME!

    Monday.
    Prep: Hot towel
    Pre shave: Prep
    Razor: Weber ARC
    Blade: Wizamet Polsilver
Brush: 'Jade' (Rooney Heritage 2XL Jade)
    Soap: Chiseled Face: Sherlock
Post: Cold water rinse / Witch Hazel / Chatillon Lux: Bon Vivant Post Shave Toner

1st outing with a fresh Wizamet Polsilver.. a bit harsh to start with, but man, does it settle down to give a stellar shave.... hell yeah!

    Thursday.
    Prep: Hot towel
    Pre shave: Prep
    Razor: Merkur 34C HD
    Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium
Brush: 'Da Vinci' ( Rod Neep CS-1 "Forest Flame" 30mm Extra Dense Silvertip )
Soap: Super Smooth V2 test sample
Post: Cold water rinse / Witch Hazel / RazoRock Aftershave Wax

I was a bit surprised when the unscented V2 test sample came through the post, but seeing that I was due a shave, I thought 'why not'! So, my thoughts.. the lather was ample, lush, and surprisingly light... slickness was to be expected, with no problems, but the post shave was very good... skin looked, and felt very healthy, even though there was a bit of redness in a couple of spots, due to 'new blade harshness', the skin soon settled down with no problems.. Overall, it does exactly what it says on the tin, but I just wish that it had more of a WOW factor..

    Hello all

A great shave for this solemn day.

    Razors- Gem Damaskeene/Schick Injector
    Blades- Personna Gem PTFE/Schick
Soap- PAA Atomic Age Bay Rum
    Brush- Omega Badger
    Finish- Nivea
    Cologne- Ogallala Bay Rum

    20181111_110125.jpg
    This morning....
Another blade, another try with my Schick, but still not sharp enough. Need to find better (read much sharper) blade than what came with it. Any sugestion are welcome.
So looking at the razors that I need to use the blades in. My Gem Damaskeene was on deck, a fine choice, if I may say so.
I got a fine 3x2 (3 passes on the face, 2 on the head) shave with no issues and the aroma of bay rum permeates through the house.
Second time using PAA Bay Rum and I like it more and more. This stuff makes great lather and the slickness is above par, even in my hard water.
I won't say this is a BBS shave because my routine seems to be getting better,
but it is a DFS, even with my steel wire wiskers.
    All else worked as expected.
The Bay Rum cologne is fantastic
    Nice

Hope every one can enjoy the day.
    Have a fine weekend.

Have you checked a out Andrews shave shop in Etsy? Good prices and he is a member of this forum.
Also @wchnu may know of a source for the "sharper" blades.

What passing-bells for these who die as cattle?
Only the monstrous anger of the guns.
Only the stuttering rifles' rapid rattle
Can patter out their hasty orisons.
    No mockeries now for them; no prayers nor bells;
Nor any voice of mourning save the choirs,
    The shrill, demented choirs of wailing shells;
And bugles calling for them from sad shires.
What candles may be held to speed them all?
Not in the hands of boys, but in their eyes
Shall shine the holy glimmers of good-byes.
    The pallor of girls' brows shall be their pall;
Their flowers the tenderness of patient minds,
And each slow dusk a drawing-down of blinds.

100 years ago L.G Maritn was a happy man the guns had fallen silent, he had lived to see the peace.
Here is those who lived to see the peace and those who sadly did not.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years contemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
    We will remember them.

Ya'll. Seriously, this Cooper Razor is amazing. I usually dont prefer double edge razors but I keep picking this one up for my shaves. I may have to rethink my SE love!
To all the Veterans out there, thank you very much for your service, it is appreciated .
