Delayed response on the reply. The funny part is it appeared OK when I hit send as I thought it might have the problem.
Posting in an airport yet again. I’ll be gone until Friday night and just realized what a no repeat month would mean. I had to pack three razors and soaps This morning I got to have a nice leisurely shave at home SOTD Mickey Lees The Drunken Goat Soap B-400 Brush by Tom Jerry Stark Kamisori Vintage Old Spice After Shave Have fun!
You took THOSE razors on a trip? Very cool, but very brave, unless you wanted a few extra hours to answer some questions in security after your bag got x-ray'd... Safe travels, Brian.
Thanks. No, that was the home shave before heading to the airport. I did pack a PRC and an old Sheffield. I also have the EJ DE89 that started it all.
Razor: Schick G Blade: Personna PTFE (3rd use) Brush: Ever Ready w/ 24mm Tuxedo knot Soap: TOBS Peppermint Post Shave: Nivea Sensitive After a couple of weeks of no use, I almost forgot how much I love this razor. A near BBS finish (due to my neck) and excellent post shave feel. I actually think that I am starting to prefer this razor to the OCMM... Oh how fickle I am!
I must say that I am looking forward to the additional aggression and efficiency. Just hoping it doesn't kill the smoothness of the shave.
I tried one in an E2 and it made it overly aggressive, but then in an I2 was really nice. I'm sure they would be great in a G1
I'm actually interested in getting my hands on a Canadian E2 - I hear good things about those razors!
In a bit of circular logic Urban Dictionary says, "Originally a Tibetan expression of peaceful dismay used after making an errant golfshot." If you are still curious, there's this report.
Thanks Paul! It's more a novelty than an innovation. Many of the vintage units have sprung springs, or developed leaks that gummed up the clockworks. I got lucky in the auction with a functional one but I already knew the top end was supposed to shave well.
