  2. There was a time, not long ago, when I would have advised you to toss that Williams into a sealed container and bury it in the deep deep ground. However, Fuzzy finally talked me through how to make it actually lather. I'll never consider it my favorite but yes, it's a decent enough soap when you know what you're doing.

By the way - WELCOME HOME!!! Missed you! I though about you last week thinking about MAYhem. Good times and glad you're still hanging in there and found your way back.
  3. Coffee after a really strange day.

  6. Thank you, Jim!
  7. I figured one perk if flying a corporate jet was not having to worry about blades or liquids, so I might as well take advantage. The Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo just called to me when packing. It was cold, but good.

  11. I have an early work day tomorrow and should be sleeping, but today was a particularly interesting day of 30DC posts. I loved reading the stories about family members in the War. Thanks guys.

  19. SOTD November 15, 2018

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: vintage Gillette Platinum Plus
    Razor: Personna injector
    Brush: JR #41 badger
Soap: Nivea 'Body Shaving' shave stick
Post: Witch hazel, TSD Iced Barber Shoppe aftershave

Tried the new Nivea Body Shaving shave stick this morning. Swung by a Walgreen's on my home from work yesterday and grabbed one. It worked really well. I didn't know what to expect and for a newbie it would likely be trouble as there are no instructions. I used a brush, of course, but someone who didn't know about brushes would get terrible lather. Even though it's marketed for body shaving I figured it could work just as well for your face.

Anyway, thick lather was created easily. It was slick and stable. Smooth shave in the end, so I call it a success. Some TSD Iced Barber Shoppe finished it all of in fine order.

    Have a great day!
