    Razor (s): Parthenon Q-Shave Adjustable, 1st Shave/Personna Pivot Head (7)
    Lather: Proraso Red
Blade in the Q-shave: Feather (1)
    Brush: VDH Badger
    AS: Mennen Afta
    Newspaper Date: Nov. 7,1943

My 1st outing with my new Razor (bought at TSD Market). Having tremors and this razor doesn`t pivot, it probably won`t be a regular in my rotation, but just a couple razors in your den gets real boring. To me, it`s a real attractive razor, and the 1st pas was smooth and I got the angle as if it were built-in. I went so slow that my trmors started again, so I switched over to my pivot injector. Two passes, WTG/ATG some clean up for a BBS. The Q-Shave was smooth and very close set on 2. God Bless.

    or

    SOML

    shave of my life

I started wet shaving on a whim and a Gillette 1966 Slim.

I liked it and went WACK.

Purchased a couple of dozen nice vintage razors and an ass of mugs, brushes, soaps, blades, after shaves etc.

Then I had a miraculous healing and recovered from my insanity.

I gave JR all of my auto strop razors and other vintage razors along with related gear. http://jrshaving.blogspot.com/2018/10/todays-haul.html?m=0

I kept three Gillette adjustables ,my EJ89, two 1930 Bulldogs and several mugs. I will eventually eliminate everything but my EJ89,short comb Bulldog, Suribachi bowl and my Proraso products.

Now I am dedicated to MY ULTIMATE SHAVE.

I call it the MEAN GREEN SHAVE.

    FOOL PROOF

    DEADLY GOOD

    MEAN GREEN

    SHAVE

    Shower, with facial scrub.
Cold tap rinse at the sink.
    Proraso Green pre-shave.
    Jayaruh Brush #324,

Cold Proraso Green shaving cream in my Suribachi bowl.
    Cold tap rinse.
    Proraso Green Aftershave.

I shave with my short comb 1930 Bulldog razor & favorite blade. Voshkod or Rapira Lux $0.07 each
    New blade after 5 shaves.

Touchup with Edwin Jagger DE89 & a Feather. $0.24 each.
New blade the 1st of the month.
    About $0.52 a month.

I leave my lathered brush in my Suribachi bowl and give it a deep cleaning rinse after 5 shaves.

    ( I shave about 4 to 5 times a week)

I like that software combo. The Proraso Preshave, tubbed shave soap, & AS lotion in Green gives great service. An R89 with a Feather ought to be a good shaving experience. Haven't come across a Bulldog yet, but I'd probably swap in an E-4 Fat Boy for the same appraisal.

You didn't mention your brush. Did you do a swap with Jim @Jayaruh ?

    Brush: Oscar 11 (@oscar11)/w Omega 10049 Boar
    Soap: Hendrix Classic Barbershop
    A/S: Fine American Blend

Another outstanding shave with the Blackland Vecto. The lighter head seems to make a big difference in manouverability and control. Although the Almuigoose is also lighter it is much bigger in overall size. The Vector is an outstanding SE razor.

I had a Gatlinburg A.S. sample, and thought it was OK. Still undecided about getting a full bottle, but I was glad to have the sample.

Broke out The GOTTA for a shave. I don't use it much to preserve the gold wash.

Thank you. This one was actually a 'failed' 30DC LE handle that I kept. The beautiful Cypress was from @RyX in Louisiana.
