Jim @Jayaruh might like that Schick. Is it stock length or shortened to fit the case? Don't think I've seen one with the decorative metal at the far end of the handle.
Here are the size differences: -A Type G8 razor. -My Custom Lady Eversharp (shortened Type K1), about 1/8 shorter than a Type G. -The K3 Lady Eversharp, about 7/16 shorter than a Type G.
I don't like the short Js. I cut mine down to the length of a G and found it felt really too short. I added a 45ACP cartridge to it and it was just right.
Went shopping at the Tanger Outlets in Foley, Alabama today. Went to the St. Nick's Knives store since they carry Soap Commander products as well as some other wet shaving paraphernalia. Went ahead and bought a tub of Honor soap. Wonderful scent! (photo borrowed from the interwebs)
Just received these beauties and did a quick cleaning in some boiling water, heads only that had plastic, They were hardly used IMO, not sure what that is telling me, to mild, Gillette fad was the way to go, Christmas presents that were neglected ????? All I need are my blades I ordered and some shaving enjoyment begins! The razors are Gem push button(gold metal)+Gem feather weight(white handle)+Gem G-bar(all chromed) for those folks who might not know. Seasoned Gem owners already know them + more on the way. Hope they shave as good as they look!
Not shave related, but working toward my son and daughter in-law's Christmas gift ..... It's a NEC 610 CD player .... I had one just like this one for 30 years and worked great. I got this one for $15 .
I received a package today with Dr. Jons Flowers in the Dark Soap & B&M Vespers Soap & AS. I can't wait to try these since I have heard good things. I really like the scent of Flowers off the puck. Vespers also smells great but is a bit subdued before lathering. I am sure it will be enjoyable in a warm lather. Steve
Very nice. I really like my pre war 1932 Canadian tech, but the Goodwill just wasn't something I enjoyed, so went to a new home.
Interesting Goodwill... New LC-based, but with the studs through the cap. I really want to find one of those Canadian ones based on the OT with the studs through the cap and the engraving around the opening.
Congrats! I would love to find a Canadian Prewar Tech to compare to my American Prewar & British Fat Handle Techs.
