The first of my Black Friday software hauls came in today. This will be my first time trying a Van Yulay product. The two samples were free additions to my order. I’m so glad as the seller originally thought they only had 2 each and I’ve seen packs with 2, 5, 10. I was hoping for 10 but I’m happy with the 5 each.
Got some blades from another member, thank you very much! Tucks of Astra SS, Bic Super Platinum, & GSB. Also received a Stirling 26mm 2 band badger. I like 22mm & 24mm brushes, so thought if I was going to ever go bigger, the Stirling 2 band is an affordable foray into the 26mm world. I'm including a pic of it next to my 22mm Rooney for size comparison.
Also scored a red tip, date code A2, at a flea market for a very cheap price. After a hot water & dawn bath, it cleaned up pretty nice!
I don't know what I bought or if it can be fixed but I got all weak kneed when I saw it! Definitely not a regular "Bill Squat". Love that hammered finish!
Jim @bladeshark of oldschoolshavingbrushes.com might be interested in photos of that brush. I didn't see one on his website.
Glad to hear there was 5 per pack instead of 2 lol. People seem to have nothing but good things to say about these blades, and they should last a while. Nice haul!
