  2. Great shave and photo Perry. You have added several Soap Commander scents to your den this year. I agree SC is a very good soap.

I changed things up a bit this morning and went with the #2 plate and the Proline blade. The Paladin is a joy to use face lathering with good backbone and scrub with super soft tips. I slowed down this morning and paid particular attention to the angle. @PLAla helped a lot by describing the angle that he used. Three passes and minimal touch ups ended just short of my normal results. I managed to leave a rough patch on my right jawline. However, the shave was much smoother than yesterday and I can see the potential in this Supply SE. I will stick with the razor until I get it dialed in. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

  6. November 28th
    Razor: Blackland Dart
    Blade: Feather NHS (1)
    Brush: PAA Switchback/TGN boar
    Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated
    Soap: Captain's Choice North sample
    Stirling mentholated witch hazel
    AS: Proraso Lozione

    Good morning!

Slight change of plan this morning. I was going to use a Polsilver SI but I've already used one in the Dart. Went with another favorite, Feather New Hi Stainless.

Terrific three pass shave! Easy BBS! Went to the alum for the final verdict after my warm then cold water rinse. No feedback on my face, which is the norm. Then to my neck, waiting for the tingle. Nothing. Just an all around awesome shave to start the day![IMG]

  9. Congrats on all the new acquisitions, Rick! Lots of Proraso love going on here lately. The only product I've tried is the C.O. Bigelow cream, but the Proaso Red AS sounds like some fine juice.

Those Suribachi bowls you use for making lather have always interested me. I'm not a bowl lather, but if I was, I'd be looking for one of those. I bet it works very well.
  10. Beautiful picture, Clint!

    November 28 SOTD:

    Razor: Schick Injector Type J
    Blade: Personna Twinjector
    Brush: Ever-Ready 150
    Lather: Arko
    Aftershave: Stirling Bay Rum
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Unscented PSB

It was a terrific shave with the Type J this morning. The twin blades are really smooth and make for an almost automatic DFS. When I was packing my bag last night, I heard the Stirling Bay Rum AS calling me, and it definitely delivered this morning. It has a fair amount of cinnamon oil, and you can feel it. Sometimes, a little burn feels good, and this was one of those mornings. I hope everyone has a great day!
  15. Wow, outstanding pics guys!
  16. Great pic, Jim! I get quite the burn from the Stirling Bay Rum aftershave myself.

  17. @mrchick's shave den inventory files were becoming too unwieldy, Rick. He recently converted to electronic file keeping. Thankfully, liquid nitrogen for the CPU coolers is readily available from Boise.

Too bad Mrs. Chick can't park in the garage since now that his system has been installed. I bet this will get old before winter is over.
