I am really enjoying the Dart so another shave with it is not the worst news. What's the latest on your Stirling shipment? Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Thanks, John, but I already have two O4 razors- Short handled BB and Long Handled BB. 4th quarter is close enough for me!
Thanks very much, Neal. I appreciate the good words, and I hope your check up next week goes well. You were one of the first 30DC members to talk about weight loss, so I credit you as one who helped inspire me to get started this summer. Thank you for that. If we have another meetup in the Lou, though, I'm gettin' the big BBQ rib dinner with all the fixins' again.
Thanks Patrick. Here's a photo of JR #160 and a few of the other Louisville Slugger brushes made by @Jayaruh. I live close to the Slugger Museum where the bats are made. I sent Jim a sackful of end pieces that were cut off after the bats were turned in one of the lathes. They make fantastic shaving brush handles.
Thanks Perry! My biggest dietary reductions have been in red meat, refined sugar, white breads, and dairy. I replaced those things primarily with chicken, salads & veggies, fruit, avocados, almond milk, cheerios, grape nuts, and steel cut oats. My diet is far from perfect. I just try to use some common sense to make better decisions and watch the portion sizes. I still love and have ice cream in small portions about three times a week. Most afternoons, I'll have a snack of some kind. Half of a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale makes a nice snack. Fortunately, my Bride likes the same kind of snack, so we'll split one.
I really like red meat but we've been eating much more chicken lately since grilled or roasted is zero points in Weight Watchers. I don't eat much bread and I'm not a big sweets person. I'm glad you're still enjoying ice cream and not depriving yourself of that. All things in moderation!
It's a Maggards 24mm two-band badger. Very nice knot at a great price. Bergamot, basil leaf, oakmoss and white patchouli. Very pleasant scent. After trying the sample, I bought it in both shave and bath soap, and got a test jar of the balm too. All excellent! Still have half a dozen Techs and the same in TTOs to try. Also several Wilkinson Sword, Rolls and other wedge razors, though I doubt I will use them. Bay Rum.
Yes they are, I enjoy #175 and since it’s made from a Louisville slugger cutoff I’m sure it will last a long time in the less abusive life of a shave brush
Thank you James. I think there is a pretty good chance at this point the Supply SE will be staying in the shave den. Plus it will be nice to have at least one injector razor. Makes perfect sense to me Jason. When you get the angle right this razor is very quiet. If it's making a lot of noise something is wrong.
