Last shave of the month. Awesome Stirling lather. As I am still able to type this, you are probably aware that a 'really bad scenario' didn't play out with the painstick. I took two very careful passes with it, didn't think I was close enough, so finished with a pass with the Red Tip. I'm typing this about 2 1/2 hours after the shave and still smelling like a cedar bough shoved in a douglas fir wrapped in pine needles. I feel like I need to get my chainsaw out...

I had a really enjoyable focus this month. After spending a week getting to play with John's Supply injector, I was able to rotate through all the razors in my den. Got a shave with every one of them, save the Short Handled Black Beauty on loan to the Blade Czar. I made it through the month with all my tubs, all my cream tubes and two of my samples. About 8 samples and the Arko got left in the cupboard. Next November maybe!
Rotated through all my aftershaves, both splashes and balms, including every sample I have. Just made it. Brushes were on a full rotation. I did lay everything out at the start of the month, which I haven't ever done, and probably won't do again until next November, but needed to ensure I could get through the month shaving 6 days a week. The only repeats were on a two day trip where I took one razor and brush. I also received a tub of Valobra from John which bumped a Lavanille sample out of the rotation and made a new Chubby brush this month as well, so I had to alter the spreadsheet a few times. This is for the engineers and accountants amongst us:

Have a great day all, and I'm looking forward to DEcadent DEcember!

Wonderful picture, Andrew! Sounds like a very good maiden shave with the Walbusch.

Awesome picture of your boys! Always the best part of the Friday posts.

Excellent photo and recap, Jason! I enjoy the spreadsheet inclusion. I keep up with my soaps and how often they're used but I don't catalog aftershave use or razor use. Perhaps I should.

Great looking shave, wow that is a lot of lather.

Very cool looking razor handle, Patrick! Hope you're not shoveling too much snow.
Great looking B1 Perry! I don't have MWF, but do acknowledge that some soaps do better right on the face (Fine comes to mind). Try bowl lathering Jeeves or Stirling (or SC for that matter). Both are thick and rich in a bowl with water added slowly until shiny.
The usual fantastic synopsis, Clint! I've been remiss in not welcoming Patrick back as well. Where are the last few of our wayward sheep? Jared?
Used to love Grey Flannel. I have an AS bottle from like 15 years ago that is missing. The Mrs swears she didn't chuck it out, but I am unconvinced.
'You all'? You are one of us now, Joseph. Might as well come to terms with it.:)
Another calendar shot, Jim! Incredibly professional shot.
TGIF! The combo looks great and the boys look super happy!
Your Tech focus has truly been one of the highlights of the year on the thread, John. I've enjoyed your journey this month, and have learned a tonne. Thank you.

Thank you, Jason! Looks like I picked a bad candidate for bowl lathering with The Fat. I'll try some Stirling in December.

Oh man! In a bowl you can pack so much water into Stirling that its dripping off the brush, yet paint it on your face and its still creamy and stable and slickkkkkkkkk!

I bet! It face lathers like a dream. I'll experiment some more with it. I used to bowl lather when I first started using brushes, but then just moved to face lathering as it seemed to accomplish the same goals. Super gooping helps, too.
