December Focus RazoRock XXX~~Rooney Style 3 Medium~~1955 A4 Gillette Red Tip~~Perma-Sharp No, you haven't entered a time tunnel. This shave looks eerily familiar to November's shaves, and it is. I committed to finishing the XXX and finish it, I will. Other than old news, the new news is the Rooney and the Gillette Red Tip. Not new to me, however. The three-band Rooney blooms like a mushroom cloud out of control. Open at your own peril... And like a cloud, it's pillowy soft and feels great on the face. I spent more time removing the glue dots from the Perma-Sharp blade than I did shaving. Ultra-aggravating. However, once gussied-up, the blade made amends by providing me with a comfortable shave. The Red-Tip is a solid tool with outstanding knurling. The blade gap allows the user to find the correct angle easily. More XXX AS/ASM to complete the first and last December 1, 2018 shave.

Sure making great progress Terry, I'm a fellow headshaver too. Great pic and report Jim. I started last Dec too just after Christmas. Buy the looks of my den you'd swear I collected for 20 years. Thanks to these guys I now have acquisition disorders. Very very good start Keith

Thanks, Patrick! I'm not sure exactly when I started, pretty sure it was early December. My new Blackbird was supposed to get wrapped and put under the tree. That didn't happen. Rockwell 6c in gunmetal Rapira blade ( Thanks @COMPNOR) Copper Hat island hopper soap Dads brush I refurbished w/ home made knot Dickinsons witch hazel Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic balm (@COMPNOR) Decadent to say the least. My 1st time using Rapiras but not my last. This setup was so good I'm destined to repeat it in the future.
