Well, I pulled a @clint64 today. A basketball game is on TV. I'm drinking coffee (OK, almost like @clint64 ). I'm poking around on the bay and picked up a couple of fairly nice techs to throw in my travel bags or to use as possible giveaways. The seller threw in a QSHAVE razor as a bonus. If any current or past 30DC member is interested in the QSHAVE, please PM me. If I get more than one request, the Cartel's randomizer will select the winner on the day I received the razor...should be about a week or so. I assume the Travel Tech is from the '60s. I'm guessing the other Tech is from the 40's or 50's. If one of the Techsperts could chime in with better information, I would appreciate it. Here's my meager haul as shown by the seller's photos. All 3 razors for less than $12, including shipping.
Congrats Joseph....now we BOTH can wonder what the other will get . (You already are wondering about me ).
Would you guys please stop it? The temptation is too great. I'm trying to cut back, so I have to stop after plate 1.
I'm pretty excited to use it tomorrow! The blade is loaded and it's ready to go. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Watching the Big 12 Championship with TX and OK. Later today is the SEC Championship between Alabama and Georgia. That is the one we are waiting to watch. If Georgia wins, we have enough beverages to celebrate. If they don't, we have enough to drown our sorrows. I already have him buying some shave soap. Think he is going for some Oleo Canard Base.
It's a beauty, Jim! I really don't want to part with it, but are you interested in a trade for a vintage Travel Tech? You may have never seen one of these razors. It is similar to a Gillette Toggle, but better. It has been preadjusted for maximum shaving comfort. There are no ridiculous adjustment settings or complicated TTO mechanisms that are prone to failure. It's a real cream puff and possibly a museum piece.
Tempting, Charlie. If I wasn't such a homebody and had more use for a travel razor I would be all over that trade. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
