This is a clone of yesterday's shave except that I stepped the plate up to a 5....This was before Danny@Hembree bested me with a 6. Challenge accepted! I'm off to look for my dueling gloves . Hope they are not in the cutlery drawer.... still banned from touching the butterknives since mayhem.

  4. You’ll get that soap dialed in, in no time Rick. Great pic!
A great start to the month, Neal. Agree with you on these new SynBads- awesome.
Have a great vacation, Keith! Sounds like a very cool week.
  5. You are welcome. How did ya do on plate 5? The Rockwells are amazing razors. I love my 6C but run across a good deal on the bay and had to have the 6S. You cannot go wrong with either. The 6S I bought came with two heads and the guy was having problems with rust. I bead blasted them with baking soda and they look new. He was leaving the razor in his shower with the blades in it. I disassemble, rinse and leave mine on a towel to dry. Never had a rusting problem.

Y'all are scaring me but it is like a bad train wreck............you cannot help but watch.:signs136:

  7. OOOOOOHHHHHHHHH a toggle! Nice. I would love to just hold one of those one time.
  8. You will have to try plate 6 next. From there we may have to shim but that is starting to get into MAYhem. Shimming a Rockwell just does not sound right!

  9. 5 was a bit closer Danny. I'll go with 6 tomorrow. Love my Rockwell too, and yes that's how I dry mine. Also clean mine thoroughly . Almost pulled the trigger on model T but they were far away from finished last time I checked.
  10. Excellent gear, Neil!
    Enjoy your vacation, Keith!
    Nice looking shave, Patrick!

Aaaaaah Mayhem, the memories....such good memories. Fuzzy@ wchnu says only thing you should shim are doors lol
Just to bring you up to speed on butterknives reference. This will get you in trouble btw.

  12. Thanks Jim !
  13. This one is on a long term loan from @Drygulch . I still want to own one of my very own, but this is the next best thing. I used one a year or so ago that was a loaner as well just to run it through some trials. Honestly, I think the Fatboy gives a slightly better shave, but the design and rarity of the Toggle keeps it in a class of its own. Now, for my real nearly unobtainable dream - a bottom dial Fatboy. There was one on eBay last month for a bit over $3000. I just can't justify that in my mind. Believe me, I try.

  14. As I recall you took MAYhem to all kinds of new levels last year. Inventing razors. Classic stuff. Made the OG guys proud.

  15. I seen that auction, something seemed fishy about where he said guy bought it and returned it cause he felt he underpaid or something .

  16. Cinco de Julio started as a test for hangovers after the Fourth of July holiday. MAYhem has escalated the way all double dog dares do. Yeehaw!

Naw. TSD on the whole is a well behaved bunch of gentlemen, and a couple ladies. Besides, what happens in The 30DC stays in The 30 DC.

Downside to this latest offering from Pinaud - it's not the long lasting power house of the previous formulas. That could be a good thing.

Keith, is that the Indian Old Spice cream? How do you rate the performance? I'm curious which colognes you'll be wearing.

Hang on, it's a bumpy ride. The good news is you can still spectate without getting directly involved.

  18. Hoping to repeat last year, still have some of the razors I made and will probably design a few more.
  19. long term loan did you say? :innocent

  20. Yeah. Even without that kind of "funny stuff" I would have a hard time sending that kind of money on the promise of shipment from a seller. Yeah, I know the bay offers protections as does Paypal, but still.
