An alternative choice is Master's Focus -imagine Brut with pine instead of fougere and some skin care ingredients added. It is what I pair with Pino de Sylvestre

That is a killer shave setup. In my Sandalwood search I ended up picking Dyptique's Tam Dao EDP (that is up tomorrow) and Kilian's Straight to Heaven Extreme, which is Sandalwood, super clean cedar and a fantastically balanced rum note. The original Straight to Heaven's rum note was too weak and the cedar too prominent. The "Extreme" isn't really extreme at all, just a different balance of the same notes. More rum, a bit more sandalwood and less cedar. The Extreme version of STH is definitely my cup of tea. Le Labo's Santal 33 was decent. I'm thinking your shave soap and Proraso aftershave are giving the Santal 33 a nice push/blend. I have some fragrances that definitely get improvement when my bath/shave products are used with it. Also, sandalwood is such a "blendable" note with other fragrance notes (woods, spices, booze) that it really depends on the personal tastes of the individual as to which sandalwood fragrance is preferred. I am very surprised that there are so many fragrance enthusiasts who aren't wet-shaving enthusiasts also. I think the two hobbies go hand-in-hand beautifully. Scent is such a critical part of a great shave for all of us that it's natural to enjoy different colognes/fragrances and bath scented products (oils, salts, soaps). I post my shave/scent of the day over on a fragrance forum and many people there really enjoy the pictures and are intrigued by my shaving sets. They just don't usually take the plunge into the wet shaving arena. A pity. I think they would really merge into this well.
