  5. December 3

Muhle R41 (2013) head & SS Big Bomber handle
    Feather (2)
JR #160 Louisville Slugger handle with Omega 10098 boar knot
    MdC
Alum, Thayers Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Floid Vigoroso

I enjoyed an easy two-pass shave this morning on 1.75 days of growth. I'm reminded that MdC is my favorite vegan soap. I enjoy the rich scent, and a moderate load on the brush produces tons of creamy lather. I'll now return to Soap Commander for the next few shaves to see if I can dial in my lathering skills with it. With practice, as you all continue to demonstrate, there's no reason that SC won't equal or exceed MdC performance.

I plan to spend time today with my former work team at their Christmas pitch-in lunch. It will be fun to see old friends, meet new people, and see how things have changed since I retired a couple of years ago. This will be the first time I've gone back for a visit. So far, I've been able to stay within my calorie budget during the holiday festivities. In general, I eat more salad and lean meat in favor of casseroles and deserts. It's not a bad way to eat once you get used to it. I keep reminding myself how good I feel, and that keeps me from overindulging. A constant battle about food rages in my head, and I just have to manage it. Bringing this all back to shaving now...I can indulge myself with a DECadent shave, and there's absolutely no downside to it.

DECember has started off with a bang, and I'm excited to see so many new 30DC participants. I hope you all have a fantastic start to the week!
  6. Another great shave and picture Jim.

  8. I have to stick with the Voskhods since they were hand delivered by the Cartel via Natalia. Any suggestions on how to get her to leave?:signs131:
  9. Odds this morning in Vegas are 20 to 1. I'm down for $50. Easy money and no Atlanta traffic. ;)
  10. I shave at night every so often for a change of pace. I can take my time, and it feels really good to hit the sack with a smooth face. With my light beard, I can usually make it through the next day and still look clean shaven.
  11. Bingo...I think they have some of the coolest looking handles of all the modern razors.
  12. Nice report, Charlie. Good for you sticking with your plan.

  14. She will leave when she deems your technique to be satisfactory. I would also suggest encrypting everything while she's there...just for good measure.
  15. Thanks Jim. There's a candy drawer in the break room at work. I'm not gonna look in it! ;)
  16. Whereas I shave my head also, I find it mush nicer to not have that prickly feeling like Velcro against the pillow.
  17. No doubt about it.
  18. Sweets don't have the draw for me, it's all the breakfast burritos that come through the shop that test my willpower.

  19. Understood but I cannot afford to feed this big girl. :shocked003: Y'all may have to take up a collection and send my way.
  20. Um...feeding her is part of the trade off for the free blades. No one said belonging to the Cartel would be easy.
