Takes constant vigilance to spot those vintage soap in the wild. Old Colgate is nothing special in my opinion, but vintage Williams is worth a couple bucks. Not ebay 25 bucks which seems the only way I'll ever get to try Shulton Old Spice soap. That the mixed boar-badger knot keeps catching my eye. The ivory handle is less than stunning, kind of Plain Jane to me. I see they also are available in Cherry & Ash. I was thinking a heightened sense of paranoia. If The Cartel could get you to watch yourself that'd free up personnel for other tasks. Love the Shave Report format. Do it again! Good Play Jason! I enjoy using my gear traded or PIF'd from forum members. too.
@RyX why no lover for the vintage Colgate? Any specific reason? I do have one pick of both vintage Williams and Colgate. I save them for the shavepocolypse.
John, I'm glad your Bride is home, thankful for the great news you both received, and praying that she gets back to 100% soon.
Ahhh, that's all right Charlie.....I wouldn't have recommended the...the....what's that place that slams people? Right, the slammer.
That photo would be dandy for @Primotenore's avatar in so many ways. I'm pretty sure that old bloomer is beltin' out some kinda opera tune. Nice shave too!
Belting out opera? Ya mean like, from ELO-SOOOO LOOONG, SWEET TALKIN WO-MAN..SO SAD THAT THAT'S THE WAY IT'S OV-ER"?
The Weber is the only after-market handle I own. I used to own the longer one, but it was too massive. You can't load for an hour...or could you? Did you end up grating it? I hope Sherri has a quick and full recovery, John
DECember like it's NOVember T&H Sandalwood SS '59 Fat Boy on 5, Kai JR #130 Sunrise knot C/R Whiskey Woods Same soap, different brush, similar lather. Adjusted down on the Gillette to number five. Somehow I nicked my chin, but it sealed right up. Aftershave went on smooth over a CCS. I'm enjoying my Rule. Should have done this last month! Good Shaves Y'all!
