Decadent December!! December 6, 2018 Razor - '46-'47 Gillette Aristrocrat Blade - (3) Soap - Jeeves of Hudson Street Blood on Steel 30 DC LE Brush - 30DC LE Post - Alum Tonight I decided to pile decadence on top of decadence. Aristocrat and Voskhod. Add the limited edition Blood on Steel soap from the meet-up and use the limited edition brush from @jtspartanand you have a ridiculously exclusive and decadent shave. I even used a splash of the after shave even though it's evening. Three full passes, smooth, great scent, fantastic lather, BBS finish and a lingering scent from the AS. And it's only the 6th of the month! My day off was a success. Doctor proclaimed me in good enough shape to continue on. He recommended a couple of ideas to keep the progress going. Got all of my items crossed off my to-do list and the new phones arrived. I didn't realize they needed nano sim cards so......those arrive tomorrow now and I'll have them working in no time. Have a great night and a fantastic Friday tomorrow!
FRIDAY'S SHAVE Bath Soap - Brut Classic Razor - Stirling Soap's Slant Blade - *2nd shave Shave Brush - 22mm "Synthia" Chrome Synthetic Nylon Chrome Razor/Brush Stand Shave Soap - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements "Et Tu" Aftershave - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements "Et Tu" Preshave Oil - Lather & Wood's "Unscented" Post-Shave Balm - Nicci Marie Hyaluronic Acid Anti-Aging Face Serum Deodorant - Brut Classic Fragrance - Brut Prestige Silver EDT ****Suribachi Lather Bowl handmade by Of the Dirt Pottery**** not pictured, I know, I failed. I suppose I'll pull out the PAA Et Tu this time. I almost went with the foam in a can, but it's no match for the Crown King shave soap. I'm going to use the custom made Suribachi bowl. It has fantastic friction that allows lather within mere seconds. I only went with the PAA stuff because PAA replied to my question saying they will make more Et Tu in the spring. Since this is now assured, I can use my only soap/splash of this with confidence that it won't be the last. ***EDIT - Man, what a great shave this morning. Perfection. 10/10. Very comfortable shave during the process and only the smallest feedback on the aftershave splash on my neck yet BBS results. Anytime I am able to get BBS on my neck and Adam's apple with no irritation, it's a best-case scenario shave. I credit my experience with the slant and the BiC Chrome-Platinum blade being a perfect fit for the razor. The razor is aggressive and even with this correct blade choice, it still can cause razor burn without the right angles. I was on my game. Everything went well. I think PAA's interpretation of Brut is better than the Brut itself. PAA's version smells more natural, closer to real vegetal. It's been raining off and on this morning lightly and I noticed that this combo of Brut smells very close to how various bushes, grasses and trees smell when it rains. Brut has a damp vegetal green with some sweetness. PAA's aftershave/cologne really blends well to bring a solid, realistic 'live plant' vibe to the Brut scent. I'm thoroughly enjoying this scent today. Perfect shave, perfect time for this scent. This is the best of what a well done shave and fragrance can do to lift a day up. Working from home was just icing on the cake. Rain is not common lately here so it's very nice.

Clearly the best looking tin for a shaving soap on the market. No one else's comes close to that design. It' just looks boss.
Great appearance, hands down, and the soaps are performers. The non-standard sizing of the pucks and how thin/delicate the tins are for the ones in tins is disappointing. B&M 2018 Hallows was in the best plastic tub I've seen yet, by a large margin, overkill, large margin; and while the MDC glass jars are nice, the Chiseled Face Zoologist soap jars have to be the best thing I've handled thus far, they are the benchmark, at a price for sure.
