Wonderful shave and report and TGIF!! Glad I wasn't completely off with the earthy comment on the splash. It's a unique scent for sure and it doesn't smell like what the title implies. That's not a bad thing though. Great software as usual.

Excellent photograph and setup Andrew. Looks like the young lad is ready for Santa. :happy088:

    Thank you, Perry!
Thanks Doug! He was in awe for a little while after he came home and the house was all decorated.

Perhaps that is not the correct way to refer to the Aristocrat, but it always seemed to me that they really weren't a razor that most men would buy for themselves. Rather, they seem more like one that was intended to be given as a gift of some sort. Admittedly, there are always exceptions and I could be very wrong on this.

    Thoughts from the group?

You may very well be right. The packaging is far more important in the presentation of the razor.

My granddaughter had some "monster feet" and she loved them. She has out grown them now.

You should see him stomping around in them, it's hilarious!

Yes, I am done when my shave I take the picture. I guess I should.start taking it before I'm done.... I feel like I'm a dummy.

Andrew, perhaps once I buy a better badger and beaver brush, I'm sure I will do much better. I just don't want to spend the money for either.
I will ask for one of them for Christmas.

Let me know when you find that beaver brush, kinda curious how that one works. ;)

No, not at all! It looks to me that your brush should have a lot more lather still left over, unless you've squeezed out the excess but not rinsed the brush yet in this photo. I'm assuming you're not attempting to skimp on cream or soap. I always wash a lot of soap down the drain at the end of the shave.

I'm only commenting since you're on a lather focus. :)

More enabling.....Mad Yak Outfitters, which is owned by Kevin Underwood who also owned and ran Country Club for Men, is now offering shaving soap. He said in a post that his shave soaps will be made by Chris Cullen of Catie's Bubbles. $16 for a 4oz tub.

They have two scents available at the moment. Check out their website HERE.

Enjoy them while you can. You will turn around and they will be grown. Mine are 27 & 21 but it is fun when the grandaughter comes around.

Thanks Danny! I know that all too well as it seems like the last year and a half went by in a blur.

:happy102: Good one Andrew. I do think the badge boar mixed knot will work well.

I agree. Kevin's soaps were SO good. The Cahaba Blues I have is one of the best soaps I own. It would be a while before I tried some Mad Yak anyway due to the glut of software already in possession.

Thanks Perry. I like the new icon, by the way.

Thanks Andrew. I stalked all the BSTs for many months to find that one. It’s a winner!

Thanks Doug. Like my algebra teacher in high school used to say “variety is the spice of life“. Of course she usually said that when this one sniveling, pretentious kid in the class said or did something stupid or annoying (which he did every day) and would get picked on (which always followed). I didn’t learn much algebra in that class, but I did learn that when you think someone is an idiot or has done something foolish, it’s easier to say “variety is the spice of life”. So, that said, I’m glad I could bring some “variety” to the thread.

I have no actual knowledge here, but I’d bet you are right on this one.
