Thank you, Jim. If you get a duck fat soap, you might consider skipping ahead a bit. ;)

One is a combination of beef tallow and duck fat, the other is just beef tallow.

    Monday afternoon December 10

These are my remaining unused (by me) TTOs I am going to road test during the next few days:

    IMG_20181210_165447_kindlephoto-1171558863.jpg

    a Z1 Flare-Tip SS, Z1 Flare-Tip SS, B2 Bluetip, C4 Flare-Tip SS, and F3 Flare-Tip SS.

The first Flare-Tip is a bit rough - corrosion on the underside of the base plate and a rattly door when locked up - so we'll see how this goes. With a menthol cream and splash for Menthol Monday:

    IMG_20181210_165626.jpg
    Gillette Z? (1954, unknown quarter) Flare-Tip SS / vintage Wilkinson Sword (2)
    APShaveCo Flat Top synthetic brush
    Ingram shaving cream
    Alum and Osage Rub

First off, I found that the razor door rattled when the razor was locked up empty, but with a blade in place, everything was solid. So all of the razor's issues seem to be cosmetic only. Second, I smeared a dab of shaving cream on my face but forgot to shake out my brush before lathering. As a result, my lather today was on the thin and runny end of the spectrum. Still provided glide and protection though. So it was a shave with a grungy razor and ugly lather that nonetheless worked - two passes to a good close shave with no squawk from the alum.

Rather chilly though. Between the shaving cream and the splash, my face still feels cold half an hour later. Maybe Menthol Monday is an event better saved for the summer months...

While some guys ship their gear to the office or get a POBox, Andrew has broke through to the other side!

That's a good thing Paul. Selling out a new product ought to ensure a second batch giving you another chance.

I wasn't chosen. I knew it the second I opened the mailbox. The Veg is not for me. The bottle leaked about a quarter of the contents out during transport. I opened the package out in the garage and the Veg is still out there. I expected it to have some redeeming qualities, but no.
On the bright side my tub of Noble Otter Flying Hide wasn't contaminated. Very nice leather forward scent.
I need to wash my hands again. Have a great night fellas

You weren't exaggerating, John. The Veg is definitely an acquired taste.

Here we are again. A 3x3 shave that was almost perfect. On the head shave, the first pass got a small, should I say nick on the top of the head. I noticed that it was sore yesterday, so this was not a surprise. Nothing big, I did not notice it till I did my check for issues. Still it was a very nice shave. The shave of the face was uneventful.
3 passes on the face, 3 passes on the head with a new feather blade in a Muhle R41, using a new blade every shave works great for me.
Seems to last much longer before it gets rough, that's nice.
    As it should be.
30DF is giving great results now!
