Love VY's Royal Oudh, proved to be an expensive soap, wound up going after the creed cologne that it pairs well with. I find Oleo's 40 to be of a similar vein, albeit I like it a little more. How does that Chypre Vert compare to the VY splash scent wise?

I'm going with one of my favorite "comfort shaves/scents" while telecommuting from home tomorrow. The Clubman Pinaud/Chanel Pour Monsieur EDP combination is miraculous and fills me with good vibes. That slightly sweet powdery scent from Pinaud with a touch of class on top lent by the Pour Monsieur EDP is unbeatable when the mood strikes.

**EDIT - I think I'm going to have to take new pictures next time. I'm running out of the Cilo Super Antioxidant Serum, and I won't be buying more now that I have found new post-shave moisturizer that is FAR more cost-efficient. Also, I am about to buy Pinaud Clubman talc powder and a neck duster so that I can "Barbershop" this set to the nines. And......I decided I will be using my Suribachi Lather Bowl handmade by Of the Dirt Pottery for the shave. It allows me to load far less soap and get a very efficient lather with less waste.

Too bad Guy about the stay, but it sounds like you still had a great time!

The funny thing was, I was looking to see if I could fine any unique shave gear in the shops, but didn't have much time because I was on a tour with a group.

Excellent shave this afternoon. Had a few things arrive so was first time with this soap & Razor. The Wilkinson Sticky shaved beautifully and is a great addition to the den. Have heard it being compaired to a Krona, but haven't tried one before. Wilkinson Sword has become one of my favorite razor manufacturers, quality razors for reasonable prices.

The Dr. Jon's Cold Fall Morning is a blend of coffee, maple syrup,with a light Pine/menthol background. From the tin i detect a berry/pine/menthol scent that made me think more of Winter than Fall. However, once i reached the 2nd pass the sweet coffee came forward. This is a really nice scent and it is quite rare for a scent to morph mid-shave like this IMO.

Performance of Dr. Jon's is great. The lather started off as a thick paste and got thick and goopy with the addition of a nice amount of water. Very happy with the results from todays shave, and hope you had a similar experience as well!

The AP Shaving synthetic brush has a lovely handle, but this will be my last synthetic brush I buy as I have not found any that compares to my Chubby 2 synthetics.
I had heard quite a few good things about the SynBad and Tuxedo synthetic knots that I wanted to try them, for myself. Nonetheless, neither of these knots nor any other synthetic brush/knot compares to the Chubby 2, for me.
