Grrr. My “Shave Zen” was seriously interrupted this morning, with the early arrival of the crew to install the new vanity top in the master bathroom. Seriously? Who shows up early these days? The nerve!
Using the brush formally known as “Ol’ Shedder”, the replacement TGN Finest knot had the Flying Hide churned into a truly decadent lather. Oh, yeah….luxurious all the way. I no more than picked up the razor when they arrived. Thankfully, my wife is home today, so she could get the dogs outside and answer the door.
What was supposed to be a relaxing shave turned into a “get the job done quickly”, kind of shave. In the end, great finished product - although I did manage to catch myself on the chin in my haste during the first pass. With a new GSB loaded in, and the ultra-slick lather, everything was so smooth that I didn’t even notice right away. Not bad enough that styptic was needed…so no biggie.
Honestly, I’m impressed on how well the shave went (nick aside), for a distracted rush job.
I think this setup will be repeated tomorrow…hopefully at a slower pace.
Have a great Thursday, fellas!
