Ok, thanks! I tend to like Stirling and PAA soap types, that may intensify the problem. Using a used tooth brush, I clean my razor every blade change too, but I get one shave per blade. tp
Neat B&W, Perry! Normally I wouldn't classify soaps as being seasonal. Ozark Mountain would have to be an exception. Awesome scent...however, lathering up with a pine tree in July somehow seems wrong. Hmmmm.....on deck for tomorrow. Happy wrappin'! Enjoy the day!
Yup Patrick, it's my newest soap that goes well with the old Pinaud. Dad's orchard has satsumas, navel, mandrin, kumquats, grapefruit, lemon, blood orange, & a few others. No limes yet. I need to fix that! Thank you Bruce & Clint!
Glad to hear that brush is a winner. The reason you got it may have sucked (well, for John and I anyway), but at least it has become well used and loved. Nice Stirling haul, btw. Interested to hear your thoughts on the Bonaparte. The colour is interesting. I wonder if that is because of the oils for the Colonia scent? Are any of the other dupes for Colonia that hue? If not, I suspect you are right and the base has been altered. Great combo, Keith. You don’t pull that brush out very often it seems. You’re pics make that brush look better than it ever did in mine, Jim. You should stop by and take all my shaving pics for awhile... Another great photo of a DEcadent combo, Clint. Always love that quartersawn oak table as well! If folks say that Wilkinson is as good as Palmolive, you’ve got a winner for sure! Have a great family dinner today, Joseph! You’ve had a great focus, Terry. What razor is next? Sheraton and CL? Yup, DEcadent for sure, Jim! He’s not the only one on here... Love that Dorian, Mark. Very cool resin pour. MWF and Clubman...does it get any more classic? Chicago! Have a great trip, Perry. I trust 200 teenagers won’t be going with you? Looks like a great shave, Gary. Is that the new Black Friday brush?
I'm a new guy around here and don't get me wrong, but IMO. The only thing that could ever be wrong about Stirling soap is.... running out tp
Looks like a great shave, Gary. Is that the new Black Friday brush? yes sir it is ,its definitely dense, but i am getting the hang of it..
Thank you! Got thinking, I've got bout a dozen new razors and some blades I need to rotate through. Then I just might Focus a straight razor. Been wanting to go there for a while. Had to get my R41 working for me first, that opens the field up for other things. Yea, propably go straight there next year, some time before spring. tp
cool that you mastered a bronco razor, my goal at present is daily shaving instead of tri weekly..maybe dialing in the fatboy or slim as well..straights in the distant future for me..
Thank you, Jason. The brush is beautiful. I'm not a synthetic brush guy but this one is going to get plenty of use. I love the warm tones in your photos, your signature style. I would just mess that up. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
I have on rare occation skipped a day or two of shaving. My wife reminds me that I'm getting scruffy! So shaving every day is the rule, not the execption. I did grow a beard in my early 20's for about a month, I found out quickly that's Not for me. I now am a head shaver too, I started that on my wifes request. I was only shaving my head every other day, was till... She told me that the small stubble felt and looked awful, and IF I am going to shave my head, do both every day. So I now shave both, every day. She wasn't mean.. She just looked at me with those big sweet eyes and said honey...... You know the rest. Thanks Good luck with your goal tp
Well there had to be someplace it would come in handy. That and in calculating when the ring of death in a soap container will be gone.
Well you see the proof that pain can create good feelings and happy times. The pain you and John suffered has certainly made ME feel better. Worth it all, right? As for the Bonaparte - haven't used it yet but have had my nose in it several times. I'm chosen by the Veg. I believe the Bonaparte will be a great choice.
