Razor - Gillette NEW LC (Delta Echo)
    Blade - [IMG] (1)
Soap - Stirling Port au Prince
    Brush - Jayaruh #46
    Post - Alum

Well, this was not the setup I skipped a shave for, but it will do nicely. Very late night tonight, I'm tired, still things to do before I can sleep, so my original idea got pushed back a couple of days. We'll get back to it. This setup, though, is perfectly timed since we have a Raffle going on this month. The brush, the JR46, was one of the prizes in a raffle probably a year and a half ago or so. I was lucky enough to be drawn first pick and I took that brush first off the pile of goodies. The razor? Well, as it happened, the very next raffle I was again drawn first and that gorgeous razor was available. It went first in that raffle. I think I'm about due to be picked first again so I already have my eye on the prize this raffle. Just in case. Nope, no hints.

Anyway, the NEW LC is one of Gillette's better ideas and paired with a Voskhod it's a sure winner. I went with the Stirling Port au Prince, a mutton tallow soap, partly because it was sitting there and also it's in the Marvy rubber mug. The main items in this shave are definitely in the realm of decadent. We'll let the Marvy mug bask in the glory as well. It is a classic, after all.

Two passes, some touch up, a very nice DFS that could have been BBS with a full third pass.....but I'm beat. I'm happy with the shave and with that - I'll put the 17th to bed about 28 minutes late. Happy Tuesday everyone!

    Pre-Shave: @nsavage pre-shave, cold water
    Razor: Hoffritz Travel Slant
    Blade: Ladas Super Stainless (1)
    Brush: Doug Korn D7V
    Lather: Stirling Bergamot Lavender
Post-Shave: Alum, Thayers Original Alcohol Free Witch Hazel, South Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

My first true BBS shave was many moons ago with a beaten up Hoffrtiz travel slant. I loved the razor, but was always afraid it would one day crumble in my hands and so passed it on.

Naturally I was very excited, when I had the opportunity to obtain a near mint copy of this stellar razor. And the shave with it was just as wonderful, as I can remember. The handle these days is of course way to small for me, but I just wanted to relive those sweet memories. The perfect Stirling lather certainly helped and the shave was just blissful.

Now if any machinist wants to make me an exact stainless steel copy of this razor head, please contact me - I am still too worried the razor might crumble one day and therefor will not use it too often.

I hope you all have a terrific Tuesday :happy088:

    Tabac Tuesday's Shave
    zcws.jpg

    Cold Water Wash
    Tabac Shaving Soap
    Jayaruh #2
    RazoRock Black Hawk
    Feather Professional
    CWR
    Tabac AS

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #2 brush. I did two passes with the RazoRock Black Hawk Razor with a Feather Professional blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Meißner Warm Woods Shaving Paste
Yaqi 26mm Rainbow Brown Synthetic Brush
    Turkish Copper Shaving Bowl
Ikon SBS (Least Aggressive Configuration) on a Windrose Damascus Steel Handle
    Gillette 7 O'Clock SharpEdge Blade
    Alum and Rinse
    Thayers Witch Hazel
    BBA ASB
    Oud 24hrs EDP

27hrs after yesterday's Weishi shave...I was still presentable but needed a 'tidy-up'. The Ikon SBS is a much heavier setup and delivered a fuss free BBS in 3 passes. The Warm Woods Paste has a wonderful scent and paired nicely with the Oud 24hrs.

I've only shave a handful of times with it so far, but the WEISHI Black Adjustable is shaping up to be a decent travel adjustable razor.

    Have a wonderful Tuesday!
