Delightful shave. Bumped up to plate 6 in the Rockwell, with a GSB carried over from last week in the Karve. Binned the blade after the shave, even though it was still going strong. No drama - zero cuts, nicks, weepers, or irritation. Just a smooth face.
Topped everything off with Clubman. A healthy dose.
Wear it loud. Wear it proud!

Just an observation - there are two more settings on that Executive as with all Gillette Adjustables. 8 and Me. The "9" setting on those razors got named "setting Neal" by some of the merry band around here because of my tendency to try the most dangerous and stupid things to shave with, and the fact I like things a bit aggressive. So, when I say "setting Me" that's what I'm talking about. At some point you'll want to try that razor on 9 just to see how it differs from the other settings. Most of us who use the adjustables just leave it on 9. It may well take over the top spot once you've gotten it perfected. Just saying.

Great setup and I do agree - the 30 Day Rule has been a boon to you in your shaving skills. It just keeps getting better and better!

You know, Chicago is really a next door neighbor to STL. Just saying.

I will do that. I thought I was running with the big boys at 7 setting this morning but I forgot whom and what I am involved with here. Please Neal do not take that as an insult. I am dealing with professional shavers and for some odd reason the "Cartel". I may go for setting ten one day in May which will be a shimmed setting 9 but I am sure someone has already tried that. Thanks a bunch!

Plate 6 is great and so is the Clubman! Great photo.

Dont worry, when you get to that point I can tell you how to overclock that razor so that setting 1 is really setting 10 and then you got 8 more clicks of adjustment!

Really great lather. Super slick and left my baby face feeling marvelous.
The Gillette LC isn't a smooth as my SC.
Personna 74 still going strong.
The post shave gel and balm, original formulas, BTW, really are terrific.
You can tell the original from the reformulated by looking for the "skin type" under Lemon Essential Oil.
The same goes for the Sandalwood and Lavender products.
They are worth searching out.​

I need a little help on a 1960 FLaretip. Does anyone have the side plate that solders on? I got this one in today with a black tip. I took a chance on the Flaretip but I could not see that the plate was missing in photographs. The blacktip will clean up and look like a new one as will the Faretip if I can find a plate to solder back onto the razor. Figured someone may have a parts razor laying around.
