Good Wednesday evening! Razor - 1905 Gillette Blade - Feather Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat Brush - Omega Badger Finish - Nivea The morning shave... After a 30 day stint with the R41, I was dying to try out my newly aquried 1905 Gillette razor. I've heard so much about the older razors, I wanted to find out for myself. Doing my now normal 3 pass face and 3 pass head shave was a good way to check this little blade holder out. I will say it may look old, but shaves like it was brand new. Doesn't have that mighty blade feel of the 41, but does hold its own when it comes to closeness. Might have to use this little tarnished shaver a few more times and let the other ones in line wait till I have some fun with this for a while. I have cleaned it up and polished it some, but that tarnish doesn't hurt the nice shave. From the look of the wear the guy who had tbis razor used it a lot. This is one razor that I'll keep close to the front of the line. Oh, the fat soap is a winner, not the sent of bay rum I like so much, but not bad. All in all, I like! To all, good evening Enjoy tp
Thanks Jim, yes I think I'm going to see how many shaves I can get out of it. Right now it's tied for most uses. Sent from my Galaxy using Tapatalk

Thanks! I found this razor a week or so ago and all the nice enablers here helped me ID it. It's kinda ugly looking, but man what a pretty shave it will give you! I feel lucky to have stumbled upon it. tp
Thanks! The day I found it and found out what it was I had a sorta bummer day. This little thing brightened up my day considerably. Made for a great ending to a ho hum kinda day. tp
So, this month I started off with creams and a boar brush. That went well, seem to be on track. Next I went to soaps with a boar, horse and a cheap badger. Mixed results and depended on the soap. Then thanks to Andrew (I can't say that enough) I went to soaps with boar, horse and a REAL badger brush, outstanding reaults. Now, I am trying my hand a a real synthetic brush from Jayaruh. I have used it for creams, but today, I used it on Williams and low and behold I got an exceptionally decadent lather!!! I'm so thankful for all y'all that helped, asked questions to see where I needed to improve. Y'all celebrated my successes, and helped me figure out where I went wrong and what I could do to fix it. This month has been decadent for sure, and we ain't done yet!
Congratulations, both on the improved shave performance and on the more decadent brushes that have helped you achieve it!
Thanks! I had a sneaking suspicion that when I posted about it, the real experts might be able to chime in with some interesting information! Uhmmm... Tomorrow's Tech is a similar brass NDC with a solid ball end handle and the Gillette diamond logo frost-etched on the topcap. Any clues to that one's age or type?
Decadent December!! December 19, 2018 Razor - Gillette NEW LC (Delta Echo) Blade - (3) Soap - Blood on Steel 30 DC LE Brush -30 DC LE Post - Alum It's a Limited Edition shave tonight when it comes to brush and soap. The 30 DC LE brush paired with the 30 DC meet up soap from Jeeves, Blood on Steel. I'm keeping the AS out and ready for tomorrow night too since we're going to see the Nutcracker at the St. Louis Ballet. I surprised my wife with tickets as she's always wanted to see it performed by them. So, an early dinner tomorrow night at Stefenina's for some authentic Italian food, then off for a night of high class entertainment. And I'll be smelling wonderful, all thanks to Jeeves. As for the shave tonight, it was three passes of glorious goodness with the NEW LC and Voskhod loving the lather. Sad to think of picking a new setup, really, but I have plans. Hope you all have a great night and a fantastic Thursday!
