The Haul: December 2018

Me neither and I've never seen another example of this razor before. I think this maybe the only razor besides the Gillette's that use an adjustable base plate and this is the only example I've seen that uses a flexing piece of metal to do the lifter adjustment.

Beware the original gold plated Gillettes had a lacquer on them. I 'm not sure if your supposed to polish, for that reason.

 

If you do take the lacquer off, don't worry just don't use an abrasive polish. Use a very mild type of polish, FLITZ works very well.

When empty and the top cut off, it'll make a nice toothbrush holder or something.

 

just arrived . stag bakelite soap bowl..may use it for williams or anther vintage type soap..

My experience with Flitz is use the liquid, it's milder than the paste.
