My dearly departed Mom had a sign on a window of her kitchen "Simplify.....simplify". To me, it became pretty "simple" to sign on here and jump in, whereas other forums appeared rather difficult.

Some simply take themselves too seriously. It's shaving for cryin' out loud.

a) A real man should cry quietly to himself. Or better yet, not at all.
b) If you're crying when shaving, you're doing it wrong.

That was the problem, when you bought new custom built straight razors, everyone was like " you can get just as good razors for a lot less money". This site is way more helpful in all aspects of shaving.

One of the reasons I prefer to be at TSD, none of the ‘you don’t have the latest fad’ and none of ‘you could of bought a better one for less.’ Here we focus on the shaving and the shenanigans.

I never was a "latest fad" person anyway.
