  1. Patrick - If I do can I become part of the "Cartel" and graduate from the 30dc?

Charlie - Could not have said that any better. Great folks and a whole lot of fun!:duel:

  3. Thank you, John. This morning's shave was truly Decadent. The Vector is a wonderful razor. I believe a polished version is in the works.

  5. Very nice summary of your Decadent December Charlie. Rating Ladas and Rapira as the smoothest - well - clearly you're a gentleman of exquisite taste. I also appreciate your kind comments about my attempts to drive the herd. You guys make it pretty easy to get the job done. That's what gives me time to keep the Cartel moving forward in its mission to overthrow carts and disposables and bring the true freedom of traditional shaving to the masses. And you thought it was only to get more cookies.

Thanks for your continued participation and enthusiasm as well! With lieutenants like you the Cartel is in great shape. By the way - Jennifer says Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your bride. I was told to make sure you knew that. And as a Czar, who takes orders from nobody, I didn't want to be in the doghouse with SWMBO. But it doesn't mean I'm not in control. Really. I'm serious.

  8. SOTD December 27, 2018

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: GEM PTFE
    Razor: Superior Lather Catcher
    Brush: Zenith B02 boar
Soap: Jeeves of Hudson Street Blood on Steel
Post: Witch hazel, Jeeves of Hudson Street Blood on Steel aftershave

Nice shave with this combination. I like the scent of Blood on Steel. It's pretty strong. A little redness on my neck. Not sure why other than I may have lost the angle just slightly. It'll likely clear up in a little while.

Out to lunch with Wilson and Alice and then we're making a plan to travel south to go and support Alice's friend Martha.

    Enjoy your day!

  9. Wow, that could have been disasterous, Terry. Glad to hear it worked out the best it could.

  11. Nice poke at @BaylorGator, Paul! :)

Randy is the only guy I know that cheers for Scut Farkus in The Christmas Story. In this mysterious, virtual world, could Randy actually be hiding behind his forum name and his "identity" as a big wheel controlling the world's ice cream supply? Could he actually be the "grown up" Scut Farkus? That would seem to explain a few things. :happy102:

Ahhhhh, clarity is a good thing. ;)

  17. Classic! Just watched it again the other night...It was the first time my kids had seen it, but I think I was laughing even harder than they did.

  18. Way, way behind...I’ll try to keep up from today’s posts onwards

Awesome, Clint! Is it Sunday already?
Wow, I don’t think I’ve ever seen the bottom of a ‘brain bowl’, Mark! How long have you been going on that one?
Very nice Old Type, Terry. Looks to be in great shape!
I haven’t tried a CL toner, Randy, but if it is witch hazel based, I could see why it wouldn’t compare well to their fantastic splashes.
What an outstanding summary, Charlie. Excellent reviews (I like Soap Commander as well, but like you don’t have immediate plans for an order) and very nice pics. A great way to wind down the year, friend!
Safe travels today, Perry. I know your help will be appreciated.

Thank you Jim and Patrick. I wanted to give credit to who ever inspired the arrangement of the gear. It was a dozen or more pages back now.

Amazing what a little soap, water, tooth brush, brass brush, rubbing compound, epoxy, etc, etc, will do.
