@Linuxguile , I see you gave me a "like". Declan mighta been the next Pinaud if the "1810" is allowed to stick on the products, meaning he could get a perfume going in his "young age". .
You came back with a bang today, Jim. The Koraat is a beautiful razor. I'm sure you had fun knocking down a week's worth of growth with it. I'm glad you had a great Christmas vacation time with the family.
I had crystals in the bottom half (or so) of my tub of Le Père Lucien shave soap. They would eventually dissolve as I built the lather, but it was mildy aggravating. This was the first time I've encountered anything like this. My soap was maybe three years old, so I thought it could possibly be related to its age.
Well I'm a relatively new guy here but I'll give it a try... We figured out we gab more than old ladies at a gossip convention, most of us are nuts, a few tried to go sane but we talked them out of it, a couple guys thought they found their mind but it was just a crule rumor. Bay rum is #1 on the hit parade, my daughter decide next time she flies, she will do it on a plane. Think that sums it up in a nut shell. tp
Multicolored toy dog? OK, I'll take your word for it, but that looked more like a dog-shaped blanket to me.
That's the impression that I have as well. The odd thing is that I had the flu shot back in October, so I'm a little surprised that I got hit as hard as I did. I'm guessing either that I got it too early (if that's possible) or the current strain is a bit different than what was expected then.
Wonderful shave and photo, Clint! Thank you, Clint and Charlie! Thank you, Patrick! Great shave, Jim! You know it. I don't have any Barrister and Mann, Paul. Actually no brands with a letter B at all. I jump from Arko to C.O. Bigelow cream. Funny enough I have tons of 'S' soaps - Stirling, Soap Commander, Speick, and Strop Shoppe.
Decadent December!! December 28, 2018 Razor - 1947 Gillette Aristocrat Blade - (2) Soap - Stirling Bay Rum Brush - Stirling Pro Style Synthetic Post - Alum Seems like today was a Bay Rum day so who am I to argue? I pulled out the Stirling Bay Rum as well as the TSD Bay Rum AS and continued the trend! The Aristocrat and Voskhod provided three passes of smooth comfort and a BBS finish on top of that super slick and spicy smelling lather. The TSD AS was the perfect topping. Just a light spritz to add some lasting aroma for the evening. I'll probably use it again on the way out the door to work tomorrow morning. Nice end to a somewhat busy but still fairly relaxing second day off. I'm happy to say that I was finally able to settle the last item on my Mom's estate today. Fairly easy going, actually, as it only took about 2 months to get everything handled. I'll start the New Year with no left over hassles from this year. That's a good feeling. Speaking of the New Year - one programming note. The January 2019 thread will not open until very close to midnight on Monday evening. I think we should keep things here and wrap up the year before starting into the new one. For some of you around the world I know you may start your year before we open the thread, but I appreciate your patience in allowing the day to roll around the globe as a group. Obviously midnight here will be a bit before the western half of the country but it's close. Have a great Saturday everyone!
Good summary, Terry. Only two other things to add: Perry @PLAla has been batching with Wilson for the last couple days, because his wife went to visit her best friend, Martha, who is recovering in hospital from a bad car crash. And Joseph @Primotenore has been enduring cold shaves (along with cold everything else) after his furnace conked on Christmas morning and didn't get fixed until yesterday. Oh, and the plague or something very like it has descended upon the House of John @John Ruschmeyer and stricken down each family member in turn despite their all having gotten flu shots this year.
See what happens when you stick to a 30dc.....your technique is awesome. Look at how they swung those straights and no blood loss.
