Not this old, you haven't. And good on him! https://newyork.cbslocal.com/2018/1...f815bf7&utm_medium=facebook&utm_source=social
That's a wonderful story. He reminds me of this gentleman. Both men exhibit great wisdom, skill, and dedication, and I hold them in high honor.
My barber has been cutting in his shop for 52 years now. On his 50th Anniversary the local newspaper came in while I was in the chair to do a story on G.O.
It's been years since I've been to one, the '70's actually. His name was Joe Barone, if I remember correctly. Was introduced to him by my Dad and one of his favorite items in the shop was a ten dollar bill signed by JFK when he was campaigning in Rochester, NY along with a newspaper photo of him and JFK.
When we lived in Washington, DC from 1979-86, my dad took me to his barber-Mr. Pitts, who did President Reagan's hair. That was quite a treat. I'd have to do some research to see how old he was. I think he "qualified" though.
there is a guy named haircut harry on you tube. he goes around to old and famous barbers and gets haircuts and shaves, very cool to watch..
+1 on Haircut Harry! Or those barbershops in India, they massage your face and provide a whole ZEN feeling. Looks like it would be really cool to go to a barber like this.
Up until eight years ago, I only had one barber in my entire life. Although young when he gave me my first haircut, he was quite old when he retired. The barber I have now is also old, and learned the trade as a boy in his father's barber shop. Old school barbers are the best!
