6/8 Japanese National Had a fantastic shave with this blade.Just refreshed her on my Charnley Forest .
I’ve been on a Stirling citrus kick. Yesterday’s shave was with a 13/16 Le Jaguar and Stirling coconut lime lathered with a Simpsons PJ3 Super. Today’s shave was with a Gauthier Pont St Esprit French rattler, ~13/16 and Stirling grapefruit lathered with a Simpsons 59. Lucky Tiger’s brief orange scent complimented the soap’s scents. Happy New Year’s Eve gentlemen.
I like this razor but I want to like it more. Normally I have new razors honed by Glen @gssixgun but this one was honed well from the seller. I have another from him. Shaves well but I tend to like my blades sharper than most. It left me feeling not quite smooth enough but an hour later it seems to be a closer shave than what I recall. First shave of the new year. Couple days of growth turned into dolphin skin with the Tennis “Facharbeit” 5/8.
First shave of 2019 and it’s all downhill from here - lol. Heljestrand 7/8 Mk 144 in ivory, I Coloniali Mango Oil lathered with a Tulip 2, and a splash of Thayers Rose Petal toner followed by I Coloniali Rhubarb ASB after dry down. I hope everyone has great shaves this year! Cheers, Steve
