  1. great for leveling wobbly tables..
  2. Add Noxema Cream and you will have a nice lather.
  3. Thanks, guys.

As usual, you’re confused, Charlie. That was the name of our butler. Oh, and the fact that you somehow have access to all my childhood photos is a bit disturbing. Mummy warned me about creepers like you..,
  4. i do that on the grocery list..left an adult request here and there as well ,ever here your wife crack up laughing in the middle of safeway.. priceless...
  5. If I missed anyone, speak up! The 30 Day Crew thrives on chaos.

Welcome Herm @Herm2502. "The Rules" are there for your protection. Kind of like hand rails at the Grand Canyon. Feel free to get a closer look but mind the gap.
Are you sure? It took me a few minutes to compose my last post. Meanwhile two more pages were generated. Welcome to The Crew!

Classic / Retro is always a good choice. Come the Shavepocalype you'll have skills to pass to the next generation.
Here in 30DC land we tend to get on a first name basis. I'm Rick. What's yours @Frijolero?

No apologies needed! This Crew has so many inside jokes & ongoing conversation it's like trying to keep up with the chatter at the Piggly Wiggly checkout. If something mysterious gets mentioned, ask questions. The 30DC Historian will fill you in.
What you think Perry @PLAla? Id this guy @Leclec13 already up to speed on his Enabling? I'll be back after I look up that soap...
Welcome @Laird! Old School is Cool around here. What ever gear you have can be the best shave ever with a little Technique. I haven't seen anyone mention the "T" word yet this year, but it's early. When you give a Shave Report spill the beans so The Crew can offer suggestions. Technique Trumps Tools (TTT) is what we're all about. Well, that and shenanigans. Our two weapons are TTT & shenanigans, and an almost fanatical devotion to Russian DE blades. And there's Natalia. Wait... let me start over!

    ;) @brit
  6. I love seeing all the fist time folks trying a rule or focus this month. Glad to have you guys aboard. Speak up and ask questions as you’ve got them and I guarantee you’ll finish the month as skilled blade ninjas!
  7. Great shave and start to the New Year.

  12. It's Robert these days. Glad to meet you Rick.

So, as long as I don't procrastinate until after the shavepocalypse I'm good to go. :happy088:
  13. I was curious about the soap bases, so here is the answer from the B&M website:

Our Classic soaps (formerly known as "White Label" until we switched them over to our new Glissant base) feature some of our most popular fragrances and absolutely stellar shaving performance. Easy to lather, slick, and very moisturizing, they're perfect for folks with ingrown hair problems or dry skin, or for those who are looking for interesting and unusual fragrances while they shave. Classic remains our most popular line and also covers our seasonal fragrances as well.

Reserve soaps are our very best work to date, and are extremely slick, protective, moisturizing, and hard water stable. However, they are offered only in the Reserve scents (Classic, Cool, Spice, Lavender, and Fern) and are restricted specifically to that line. Reserve soaps do not contain lanolin and are thus suitable for people with allergies to lanolin-derivatives, but, through their unique chemistry, offer an incredibly soft, moisturized post-shave feel. Reserve soaps are stable in nearly all water conditions and are an excellent choice if you have hard water.

    and...

We did (make vegan soaps) for awhile, but people overwhelmingly preferred the tallow bases, so we're sticking with those.
  14. Thanks, here's a photo of the 50's set-up.

  15. @Linuxguile Andrew sorry to hear about your loss. You and your family are los in my thoughts and prayers.

You will be surprised how quickly you feel comfortable using both hands. It is a long journey and you are making great progress.

Just go little farther each shave, when I started it was just my cheeks and finish with a DE. If you can manage 100 shaves you will become a Jedi master.

It looks like Perry and Wilson started the new year off the right way.
  16. Rick, the enabling game is already strong with @Leclec13!

    Nice photo!
  17. There is no way to argue against shaving physics, it’s just not theoretically possible.
  18. Thank you, Keith.
