    Good morning!

    Great shave to start the day! Three pass, DFS. A spot on my right jaw kept the baby at bay. Trying to shave left handed again. What little progress I made back in July has been lost. I'll keep at it this time in the hope of getting somewhat proficient.

    Club Guy paired with Clubman today. I went very light on the aftershave. Morning meeting at work, too many people in too small a room.

    Letter B

    Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Schick
    Razor: Schick G1 injector
    Brush: JR #142 black badger
    Soap: Barbasol Original
    Post: Witch hazel, The Shave Den Shop Iced Barber Shoppe aftershave

    Letter B's first victim is Barbasol. I've had this in the den for a couple of years. Only used it once with marginal success. Today's treatment was bowl lathering with water dripped in little by little, basically like you would with any other cream. Got a pretty slick and shiny lather. The G1 was nimble all around and a nice shave resulted.

    Gary, I get all my knitted socks from @FaceScraper (@RyX, please update the inside jokes list). Seriously, they are really comfortable wicking socks that seem to last forever. They come in all styles and colors. It's the only brand of socks I wear. I picked up my last batch of them from a seller on eBay.

    Declan looks happy. For Black Sail Grooming Co soap, the big challenge for me was that the soap was too soft for me to load it like it owed me money. I would gouge huge chunks out of the tub if I pressed too hard. I ended up getting a lot better performance by doing a lot of low pressure swirls and no sousing.

    It a hard process to lose family members. When I lost my Mom I realized it’s not something you ever get over, but more that you come to realize your loved one is gone, and constantly see more and more ways they affected your life. I hope the happy memories and time with your family stay with you all.

    Looked them up - just briefly...those seem quite nice! They use the AC style blades, correct?

    They will use AC, injector and half de blades. I'm anxious to try it out.

    Todays shave with the CJB painstick went really, really well... until it didn't. 3 passes completed, and one more quick stroke to get a bit of stubble I missed on my chin, while I quickly find the lid to the soap... you see where this is going now, right. The word "quick" should have been the tip off... I didn't even feel the filet 'o face happen; I just saw blood... and lots of it. After about 5 minutes with the steptic pencil (haven't used that in a while), I got the gusher down to a trickle.

    My wife is taking the kids to the grandparents tonight so we can have a "date night". I can already feel the looks of disdain that I will receive tonight.

    I finished off with Fine Platinum, AS, cause if I'm gonna look like Frankenstein, I might as well smell nice.
