  1. I'm almost there myself. 33 for me. Although - wait - are we talking with ONE wife? I withdraw my comment. :smiley respect:

  2. You could practice with a butter knife with your off hand, a lot of guys use their Domitian for the full shave.

  4. Butter knife is a good idea. Thanks.

  6. I have a concern when I get a custom razor that isn’t shave ready. I hope you are able to get it sorted out.
  7. Thank you Patrick

    Thank you Jim.

  8. It will help build the hand eye coordination, but it’s not as hard as you would think. It’s one of the few things that having my right hand in a cast made a lot easier to do.
  9. Based on this picture I motion that the Cartel remove Randy from Double Secret Probation. He has proved and documented his submission. The ice cream rebellion has been crushed, and his pain stick use meets cartel standards.
  10. Thank you Jason. I have tried to bowl lather and it is something I just don't seem to get. I couldn't imagine using one of my nicer badger brushes to bowl lather. I enjoy the differences in face feel of the brushes too much to give up face lathering. In the end the bowls will be used to soak my natural hair brushes during the shower.

Thanks Doug. You do know me pretty well. I did try to bowl lather. Partly because the wife was watching. While bowl lathering I was thinking this is taking too damn long and I've got to go. :happy097:Finished the shave face lathering and rinsed the bowl clean.
  11. Thank you Perry. I am so past ready for Friday. If I can just make it through tomorrow I will have the Fiscal Year End financials closed out for my consulting client. This has been quite the ordeal.

Thanks for the tip on Mike's Aftershaves. I will have to check them out.

Thank you. My wife actually bought me 3 different bowls. I foresee the bowls being featured regularly in my SOTD photos. :D

    Thank you Paul.
  12. No. It was easy to get a straight edge. I got lazy and didn’t reset the bevel. I’m going to start from scratch.
  13. Me too
  14. Thanks. I’ll try.

  15. I had been looking at his page, and was thinking of getting one. So I’m really interested as to how it works out. What progression are you using.

  16. I’ll set the bevel with a Naniwa S1000 and then 5,8,12k
  17. That’s a good set there Brian. Keep us posted on how it does.
  18. Thanks. Will do.
  19. Great picture, Joseph!
  20. Thank you, Charlie! I almost felt like a retired guy for a bit.
