    I get a mint and savory taste from cilantro, and occasionally a soap taste. I get bitter notes from some lavendar scents. Mrs. Gulch always tastes soap with cilantro, and catches the bitter note in all my lavendar scents. I thin the two are related.

    Absolutely. The blade clip is narrower on the CJB, which allows for a better shave angle.

    There's that difference in the head of the DX vs the SS. That "lip" on the head on the SS is supposed to make it harder to cut yourself. But it messes with the angle of attack. The CJB clones the DX and provides that better angle. Nice observation.

    Hi everyone!
    Three shavette shaves in a row! When I shavette shave or straight razor shave, I can get away with shaving every other day. However, I shaved tonight because I want to shave with a 3 day stubble this Sunday because I am going to do another shavette first. I am going to use the black insert with the long Dovo blade that you split in half. Now, I am not worried because I have 28 shavette shaves and 29 traditional straight shaves on my curriculum vitae (resume). So, Jan. Shavette month has prodded me into 2 firsts. Yesterday's shave doing the fool's pass and the aforementioned black insert usage this Sunday.
    Oh, almost forgot about tonight's shave results. I only needed to do two passes, WTG and ATG with minor neck and side chin and cheek touch-up. Shave was BBS. Grade 95 or A. So there you have it. Looking forward to Shavette shave number 4 this Sunday.

    It’s a great idea. I used an empty CJB shavette, it allowed me to train my offhand and figure out how to grip the razor to get the angles I wanted.

    I hated the SS, I cut myself more with the SS than the DX. The DX and CJB use an angle similar to straight

    hello fello shavers,day 4 with the daily brit fb tech focus..pdp 63 soap lathered gloriously with the simpson special bb,2 pass dfs with minor pickups, no drama. touch of thayers, clubman reserve to finish.these just showed in the mail today, late but here at last..and well worth it..have a great friday..gary 20190104_000806.jpg

    Good morning everyone my shave for yesterday and today. They shave went well I am still getting som tugging when I get to my neck and under chin area. I am currently only doing WTG and finishing with a DE to get the closeness I like. Once I get WTG down I will throw in XTG. I did 30 passes on the linen and 75 on the leather.
