Your observations and comparisons between these two shavettes are very detailed. It aids those to decide which razor to choose.

    Razor: IBC
    Blade: Schick Proline B-20 (1)
    Brush: 30DCLEV1.*
    Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated
    Soap: PAA Gondolier
    PAA Star Jelly unscented
    AS: PAA

    Good morning!

Shavette Saturday? First shave with a shavette. Schick Proline loaded easily enough, the magnets helped. Pass one, north to south. Not bad, no blood but didn't feel natural, that should come with time. Pass two, south to north. Blood on steel with this pass. Three weepers going XTG above my lip that closed up on their own. Pass three, the Dart came out for this pass. Finished near BBS face and CCS neck. The alum stung above the lip and warm on the neck. Could have gone better but could have gone worse. All said and done, not a bad first outing. Tomorrow's shave will determine if I use the IBC Monday morning before work.

    Have a great weekend![IMG]

I usually don't call out someone while doing my survey update, but I must say I'm surprised with the sudden surge by Cookies, Duffnuts, or Ice Cream. Might you have something to do with this, @BaylorGator ?

I wish I had paid more attention to Euell Theophilus Gibbons growing up, Paul. I just didn't have a hankerin' to eat pine trees instead of Cap'n Crunch in those days. I now have 90 grams of Grape Nuts and 8 ounces of almond milk with an avocado or banana most every morning for breakfast. I don't even miss my Frosted Mini-Wheats anymore. I weighed 224 and change this morning, so I finally passed the 50 lb weight loss goal. I'll probably stick with the Grape Nuts for breakfast even after I hit my target weight. I'm also trying to drink a cup of black tea every day. It has no calories, and it is supposed to be good for the ole ticker.

I'm an almond milkman muhself. What surprises me about Grape Nuts is you have 7 grams of Fiber-2 more than with Bran Flakes. I'd say the barley in the GN is the difference.

Very nice set up, Jason. Is the First Canadian Maximo Gomez your favorite soap? This one's on my radar based on your previous comments. It's up against some pretty strong competitors like Mike Natural Soaps and Jaobonman Eufros. I figure I'll be in a position to pick up some new soaps around Black Friday 2019. I'm taking this year to use what I have and decide which soaps to purchase.

Ice cream is a powerful force for good, Paul. Resist or fight it at your own peril, my friend.

Great work, Charlie. I used to love Grape Nuts. Never could stomach the taste of the milk after the CC cereal was gone. Blech.

Thanks Jim. I dug out a couple of pairs of size 38 Levi's from the depths of my closet, and they fit! If everything goes according to plan, I'll donate these along with a few pairs of slacks and be in size 36 by spring. If I could stay there, I'd be happy. I've unearthed a few new pairs of size 36 slacks in the closet, so all I'll need are a couple pairs of jeans and some shorts for summer. I'm donating all my big clothes...ain't no going back to them this time. ;)

THat was my problem for a long time, Randy...when I wanted it, I wanted A LOT of it, not just the "two scoops" thing. But now that I've discovered flax seeds and chia seeds, it might be healthier.

It's such a good feeling when clothes that were too small now fit. I hung on to clothes I had outgrown just in case and those have now been donated too and replaced with smaller. Congratulations!
