The winner of this week's AS splash reduction project is...HBG Sandalwood. While the post shave feel and skin conditioning from all the HBG splashes is top notch, the sandalwood scent is my least favorite. It's not off-putting by any means. Just doesn't "do it" for me anyway.

I'll stick with this set-up through Saturday the 12th for a total of 7 shaves. This morning's BBS shave was effortless after 2 passes and a minor touch-up.

Soap: Proraso Red (sandalwood & shea butter)
Brush: Semogue 620 boar
Razor: Fatip Grande
Blade: Polsilver SI (1)
Aftershave: HBG Sandalwood

Wow, these South African soaps are marvellous - this Green Fields has a beautiful peppermint scent which filled my bathroom, the lather was so rich as well as slick, and it gave me a very nice cooling effect along with terrific postshave care. The 7 AM blade in my Goodfella made minced meat out of my stubble and left me BBS in two easy passes. The Prep felt wonderful afterwards!

-great shave from the brass Colonial with a very old but still sharp Schick blade. The Dorian is one of my favorite handles, it’s ergonomic and beautiful. MW Marrakesh is a fantastic scent.

I wanted to try out my recent arrival of GD Citric, but after using an Orange Chill shampoo I got a hankering for some menthol. What to do? M-Bomb it, baby. Still on the injured reserve list due to a chin injury, the Karve still pulled off a nice smooth shave, with an assist from my 30DC LE brush and Stirling grapefruit AS. I want for nothing, gentlemen!

Another great shave with the Karve w/D plate. I believe that Jeeves of Hudson needs to improve their web site. IMO

I always get great shaves with three days or more of growth, and this was no exception with this razor/blade combo. Two passes for a very nice and smooth BBS shave. And I found what I thought was lost, a vial of the Veg.

Thank you for your kind words Tommy. It will come as no surprise that I support Veterans especially those who have businesses. Plus I really enjoy there products. I just can't find the products I've been looking for. I think someone had posted last year that they had changed some of the names of their soaps.
