Nice set up, Clint. The restored C40 looks fantastic. It's always good to see the greenery in your SOTD photos, especially at this time of year. Have a great day.

Thank you, Clint! Wonderful photo and shave on your post. Really like the red on the Ever Ready brush. You're right - it's already Wednesday, and that's a good thing!

    Thank you, Jim!

Thank you, Charlie! The Maximo Gomez is a wonderful soap. Tobacco and citrus scent. A little earthy as well. Superb performance.

Martha is doing better. Small progress each day. She is awake and is out of ICU but is now in a special care room. She has physical and speech therapy each day. She can remember faces some days and other times she is confused. She went through a number of surgeries but seems to not need any more surgery for the time being. She is expected to make a full physical recovery. Thank you for your prayers!

I couldn't agree more. Laying around feeling sorry for yourself doesn't help at all. Just makes you aware of every passing second. Better to just get on with your life.

Or just add that to the toast. Throw in a little vodka, a pickle and onion and a smoke - you have the perfect Russian breakfast!

That is fabulous news Perry. I know she still has a long road ahead but the progress thus far is amazing. I’ll continue to keep her and your family in my prayers.

The following are on the slow boat. Well, actually still on the slow truck making its slow way to the slow people who put it on the slow boat.

    500 Voskhod
    200 Sharp Star
    100 Rapira Platinum Lux
    100 Ladas
    100 Rapira Stainless
    50 Rapira Swedish Supersteel

Oh, and not from the old country - but also a Parker SRX because I've seen too many of them and the passive enabling has worked. And finally - the crown jewel of my recent ebay activity - a new bottle of the one, the only, the most glorious and luxurious of scents - Lilac Vegetal.

Welcome back John! Glad you had a great couple of shaves!
Thank you for the continued prayers, Charlie. We certainly appreciate them.
I'm pretty sure you can use it as ground sterilizer.
Fantastic photo, Jim! Hows the scent on Sangre De Drago? Your making good strides with the shavette!

To my nose the scent off the puck is very subtle, or in other words, weak. The aftershave is a nice masculine scent but to me it fades rather quickly in comparison to other PAA aftershaves.

    Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap
EDRIO #5 English Gillette Aristocrat #58
    Perma-Sharp Super (4)
Yaqi Mysterious Space (24mm, Frigate Class)
    Route 66 Cranberry Citrus
    Soap Smooth Frozen Cranberry AS
    Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill ASB

Epic shave this morning! The R66 soap made a super slick lather for the still very sharp Perma-Sharp blade loaded in the English Aristocrat. This Crat is a bit more aggressive then 4th generation #22, the '48 American Aristocrat, and the Red Tip SS. Wonderful blade feel made keeping a light touch and riding the cap very east and rewarding. After three passes the baby was easily in hand. I them proceeded to freeze my face off with a generous spray of Frozen Cranberry followed by a healthy application of Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill. I smell like I'm walking through a cranberry bog drinking a glass of lemonade and it is awesome! Have a great day my friends!

    Hump Day!!

I miscalculated on my Chiseled Face soap-it appears I have more remaining than I thought. But that's one of those "nice problems to have". Had a great shave with it this morning. I thought about sticking with it through Friday, but it will be very cold here that day, and I don't know how the menthol in the matching A.S., will feel, but at least it won't be Cryogen. For the first pass, I had to "borrow" some soap from my neck to redo a couple areas on my face that I missed. Seems I do that a lot these days, "borrowing" to "redo".
