I always loved the C.O Bigalow, It is rebranded Proraso I think. Are they still selling it ? Beautiful Hussy set up. Beautiful set up there. Next time you get to F let me know if you want to use a Schick F with the shave. I will loan you mine. Incredible set up there. Love the martian feel.
Fri 11th Jan Simpsons Chubby No1/ Maggards 2 Band Cyril Salter Solid soap Schick Type F Schick Proline [ 5 ] Myrsol Antesol A/S Lotion The Type F might not be my most efficient Injector Razor, as it is quite mild and I have quite a strong beard. As a result it takes me longer than usual to get a Top Notch Shave. Actually the time does not seem to matter as to me as the Razor is not only good to look at but it is very tactile, and is a delight to hold and Shave with. Though it might have taken longer than usual to Shave, I was able without any problems get an ultra close all round finish , which is the equal of those I get from an Injecto Matic or E2.

Thank you, Fuzzy! That's quite the offer to borrow the Schick F. Thanks! I'll let you know. Also, you can still buy C.O. Bigelow cream at Bath and Body Works. They have a small tube for $5 (less than 2 ounces) and the larger tube for $10. Probably can order it online as well.
Cobra Classic Schick Proline P Was that really three days growth? The Cobra didn't seem to think so. Happy Shaving one and all.
Friday's Shave Cold Water Wash De Vergulde Hand Shaving Soap Jayaruh #331 Boar Ever-Ready 1912 CVS CS SE CWR Aqua Velva 5 in 1 AS My prep was just a cold water rinse. The De Vergulde Hand Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #331 boar brush. I did two passes with the Ever-Ready 1912 razor with a CVS CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva 5 in 1 AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Daily Driver series: The Schick ain't it for me. Good razor, but too blade dependant for my tastes. Williams is still going strong!
Well onto the next GEM the Clog Pruf late 1946-1947 Peerless Variant model. Blade: GEM Personna SS PTFE (1) Soap : Razorock Lavender Brush: Razorock Plissoft Preshave: Shower and Aloe vera gel afterwards Post shave: Alum + cold water rinse Post shave: Razorock Blue barber + witch hazel+ Nivea balm The shave was very close with a new blade and beard fully hydrated to give me a CCS>BBs for my first impressions of this new (used) razor. The blade could be felt a little and first swipe indicated to me that the blade razor combination audio feed back that my 1 day old growth stood no chance of winning this shave today. The Alum block test indicated some minor to normal stinging after a close shave. The MMCP is a great razor for a medium to coarse beard from my first impressions Have some great Gem shaves!
Schick B/Proline. Happy to get the loading mechanisms finally sorted on all the Repeaters. No more bloody fingers. B is the trickiest shaver but patience rewards.
Beautiful B! What is your loading method? I followed a method from Andrew @Linuxguile and load it by hand. Interested in your process. Thanks!
Since I got them I was loading by hand, but I found myself setting them aside for not wanting to deal with bad alignments, and bloody fingers from slips. Now I'm just loading a single blade at a time using the stock loader and it seems to be working fine in all of them. The B had been jammed but I managed to get it back together.
Okay, so you're using the Proline cartridge and loading straight from it, since it doesn't have the key?
I'm putting the single Proline blade into the Schick B (A/C) magazine and using the plunger as designed.
Imo all the MMs are great and we're nitpicking when we put them in order. Saying that, if I had to keep one.... .....I'd be pissed off.

Sat 12th Jan RazoRock Plissoft 22mm Vitos Super Red Schick B1 Schick Proline [ 5 ] Alum Rub/Rinse off Pitralon Classic A/S Lotion I had another no rush Shave, not because the Razor was mild but because the B1 may well create a bloodbath if rushed. It is some time since I used a B or C Schick as I know that they require care and attention during the Shave to avoid mishap. When using these older Razors I tend to use to the Vitos/MWF, as I know that the Lather I get from these soaps is always good for me.I did spend some extra time finishing off the Shave, and have to declare that areas such as my cheeks have never been so smooth after a Shave. In fact I doubt that I have ever had a better Shave from any Injector that I own and that includes those using a Twin Blade.
Gem Contour I Gem Stainless ptfe I found the Contour a bit mild and I'm a little tender in places from going over them too many times but I was like that with the Pushbutton until I dialed it in. Happy Shaving one and all.
