1. That's a bummer. Start a case with eBay, maybe his sellers account will get suspended.

  2. Was talking to the person I bought this razor from, it was the persons grandfathers and he carried it with him in WW2 around the Pacific. He must have lost the head and replaced it somewhere along the way. Kinda cool if you ask me.

  3. Very sorry to hear. As stated earlier, I recommend reporting it to eBay. Give them all the documentation, with links, to the sellers other ads, copy the email he sent you, & hope this seller loses his account so he won't continue these deplorable practices.

  4. I'm still weighing my options. I had an email exchange with the seller. According to him, he originally had five Aristocrats and acknowledges that he was lazy and used the same photos for multiple auctions. As for the negative feedback, it apparently dates to right after one of the big hurricanes and he was unable to ship anything and just cancelled all sales. He has also said that if he finds the razor, he will send it to me free of charge.

Since I've already received a refund, I'm inclined to go with Hanlon's Razor (Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.) and just move on.

  5. Sometimes malice and stupidity lead to the same outcome. Either way, you'd be doing the next guy a favor. Anyhow, I'd like to think that it would take more than one incident for ebay to take drastic action.
  6. Any deviation from list>bid>win>>pay>ship>receive ought to garner negative reviews. Sure issues happen. Reselling the same item with excuses sounds like fraud.
  7. I've got a Captain's Choice copper lather bowl on the way.

  11. Nice! Can't wait to see a shave report. Supposedly, the O is optimal with Twin blades.

  16. Very cool. Your first shavette? Which one did you choose?

  17. This one would be my second a Parker sr1, the first one I got was a really cheap magic brand that I got from a local store just to give it a try
  18. I normally don’t order software but I’m waiting on my first Italian barber order

Puros aftershave to go with my Razorock tobacco soap

Tuscan Oud aftershave to go with my Razorock Tuscan Oud soap

    And a Darby shave stick
  19. Respect! Both are good tools. The 30 Day Rule / Focus crew has several members working their shavette skills this month. I'm re-learning how to use my Luxor. I've also used an Angie brand (much like the Magic brand), and a couple Wecks.
  20. Ok, seriously. I need to stop spending money this month. Got this beautiful ebonite handle coming from Wild West Brushworks. Going to put a Maggard 26mm mixed 70:30 Badger/Boar knot in it. Went with the cactus coin.
