My Wild West Brushworks Jungle Ebonite handle arrived and I wasted no time setting the 26mmb Maggard mixed knot in it.



It's really hard to capture the grain of the stone in the photo but it's amazing!

I’m on a business trip and stopped in an antiques shop on the way to the airport. I picked up a W.H. Morley and Son’s razor and an old stone. The stone is a Lilly White Washita and it appears to be flat. It will need some cleaning (I neglected to take a picture of the top before packing it in my bag). I’m not familiar with this stone, but figured it was worth $25. I’m thinking it would be a nice mid-range stone. Has anybody tried one?

 

Y'all know I'm a sucker for shave sticks.
Well, ok I just use it as an excuse to be cheap, but still. I'm really excited to try both of these.

 

a buddy sold me these today,...british new service set and some blades..

 

USPS had their game together, got my ETA Tuesday package here 3 days early!

Swapped a DE I wasn't using much for a DE I'd like to try.
The one I sent was in it's original plastic case, with a blade. The set I received exceeded expectations! Yaqi DOC cap & base plate with a Gillette Bar handle that makes it shave ready. Extras include top and bottom from a ball end Gillette handle. If they fit I've got a piece of stainless tubing to construct a custom handle. Then there's blades! I think I've tried these, but it's been a while. Looking forward to putting there all to use!

 

I’m afraid the Bar Handle could use a replace, though.
