7/8 Thiers-Issard hollow Basic Black, cream was SMN lathered with a Duke 3 and topped off with D. R. Harris Pink.

Modern TIs have great steel and all of them that I’ve had shave like a million bucks but they really aren’t ground that well, even the top price models have cosmetic grinding issues. But the Basic Black series is not that expensive and IMO worth their salt. But you can see that the bevel is wider at the toe than the heel.

  9. 1/2" Keen Kutter
    Prep shaving soap
    old Lathe-r-ade boar brush

This Ivory and MOP Keen Kutter has a bit of viper in it. It likes blood. I did get a excellent shave with it this morning, no runs, drips or errors on my part. These small razors really test my abilities shaving. Absolutely minimal pressure, skin streching, and they need to be really sharp for me to get a good shave with but will give excellent shaves if I'm careful. Have a good one.

  10. That is classic elegance. I had the same model but it flexed a little so I sold it. I had. O issues with the razor, it was easy to hone and took a great edge.
  11. Perfect shave, from an American Made razor. Silky smooth 2 pass shave, that left me with a DFS. No touch-ups. Absolute pleasure to use.

  13. Freshly restored and honed Boker Red Injun. An extremely thin hollow ground blade, which turned out remarkably keen.

Had a close and smooth shave with this blade .I am fairly sure that Wm. Greaves made the blade. This blade has an extremely keen edge.

C V H MK33, soap was Cyril Salter lavender hard soap, a new product from them I believe or at least a new formulation. Lathered with a Tulip 2 and finished off with some Myrsol Agua Balsamica. The soap is good and sells for around $8 for a refill puck, so those of us that favor the more economical soaps should be very pleased indeed. The scent is a sweet mild lavender, and isn’t too far off D.R. Harris lavender when lathered.
