  1. Fantastic photo, Jason! The lather gods were fickle today. You're right, next time will be better!

  2. Thanks Jim!
  3. If I recall correctly, I measured the base of that knot at 25mm. The hole is about 26mm at the bottom, with a slight flaring out at the top. I believe is it set at about 14mm.
  4. Thank you, Jason.

  5. Interesting. Is that what you did with the Colonia as well, Joseph?
  6. Awesome combo, Jim! I definitely need to break out the Palmolive stick for 'Favourites February'.
Hope you are enjoying the conference, Perry!
Nice pic, Joseph. Love that Rubberset- it is so shiny that it looks like one of the modern copies. Only the # on it gives it away.
Is that the bottle of Alt Innsbruck that had separated? Did you ever get it back to normal?
TGIF indeed! Great looking combo, Andrew.
Your experience with the Merkur 34 is very similar to mine with the EJ 89, I think.
  7. Excellent progress and photo Joseph.

  9. Interesting to see the bowl, Chris. For some reason I thought you were exclusively a face latherer.
Ok, every time you show that brush, I am reminded that I have one of those knots sitting at home. A few projects I gotta finish on the lathe first, and then I need to get that one into a handle. Your enabling has worked.
I always love that handle when you post it, Rick. The Cypress is such a beautiful, versatile wood.
Great combos, Keith. I guess the TSD products will soon reach unobtanium status as well.
Awesome, Jim. Your photos make stuff look better than they do 'in real life'. I often stare down at the same products and think 'they don't look like this is Jim's pics'.
Only a few more days on that brain bowl, Mark. I don't have the Gillette Platinums. Are they very similar to the other St. Pete's Platinum blades?

  10. Razor: Karve with a “D” plate
    Blade: Gillette Silve Blue
Brush: Wild West Brush Works Diablo w/ Golden Nib Silvertip Grade A
Soap: Jeeves of Hudson Turkish Bath
    A/S: Old Spice Lime

Outstanding shave with the Karve "D" plate. I spoke with Derek at Wild West Brush Works. He has always called this handle Crimson Shadow. I requested that I call this brush Diablo. He said that was fine and that he would call his Crimson Shadow handles Diablo after his stock ran out. So now you know. :)

  18. :thanks: Jason. I think the only pull I have with brush makers is them pulling money out of my wallet. :happy102:
  19. Thanks very much Andrew. It was a special order.
  20. Good picture and setup Mark. Good luck with the needle. :happy088:
